Not wanting to piss on the fire but I am sure when he comes back he will tell us all about his Cup Winner's medal :-[
-
So no chance of him coming here then

Yes but not without Torres. He is Liverpool this season

Seconded. No contest. Has to be. I wasn't at the game, but I had my own little bit of human drama. I'd avoided tuning into the latest scores by going out. I switched Grandstand on with 10 minutes of the match to go, and the score came up as 0-0. My heart sank because we needed to win. Then, as I was watching, the score changed on the screen to 1-0. Moments like that don't come round too often. I was in the old Milburn paddock, almost in direct line with the line of the shot as it flew in. Was very much one of those slow motion moments where you expect a defender to get in the way or the keeper to reach across. Have never expereienced delirium like it before or since.

I know it cant really be possible but it does make you wonder if stranger forces are at work :-[

Has to be Kelly's v Portsmouth. Apart from the fact that it was important, it was only 6 minutes from the end so the tension was getting unbearable

I dont remember being this scared since we lost at home to Crystal Palace under Dalglish. I really thought we were gonners that night. Somehow, I think this has been coming for us. Depite the highs Kevin previously and then under Sir Bobby, we have flirted a bit with the drop under Dalglish, Gullit, Souness and Roeder.. maybe, eventually, our luck has just run out -
No sure about finished.. more just that they have been found out as having been previously surrounded at previous clubs with other good players and really arent as good as people thought they were and certainly arent good enough to inspire their team mate which for me is what defines a "great" player

Granted he doesnt look the same player but I still maintain that if he was in a good side, whether Newcastle or not, and they were playing well with confidence, he would still get a decent amount of goals.

I voted us but should have waited until next Tuesday to decide. The Brum match with tell us an awful lot

Am not sure a point would be such a bad thing so long as it is followed with a win at home to Fulham. Reason to take confidence from a draw with Birmingham - score draw would be nice if thats what its going to be Defeat would be a shitter of the highest order We cannot afford to lose at Birmingham, not least because confidence would then be at rock bottom for the Fulham game. Im really worried about this Birmingham game, they are gonna be really up for it and they are playing ok at home. I would settle for a draw at Birmingham and a win against Fulham. The Fulham and Reading home games are the must win games. I have a nasty feeling Reading are going to have a decent end to the season Were spirited against us in the second half, then won the next two games. However, look how many places they've jumped in the table on the back of a minor improvement. That could happen to any side in the relegation mix. Fingers crossed mate

Best chance of us getting to wembley really... i.e. via the play offs

I am disappointed that I cant enjoy it as much as I should but I am so worried about us going down, my liking for football in general is taking a hit

Surely not at Anfield though where they are the best fans in the world ?? Special supporters. So knowledgeable /jeffwinter The worst are Arsenal fans. The Emirates is surely the most soulless ground in the country, all those canape wielding solicitors in the corporate seats. Agree. Can remember after the 98 Cup Final. You would never have known they had just won the cup

Every one on here knows how rubbish we are but surely you can see that the level of attention we get is way over the top

What worries me is going into work a wekk on Tuesday... I live in Birmingham

He seemed quite relaxed about it yesterday from what I could see. Took some grief from a lad two rows back, one of his minders sang along, bit enigmatic I suppose. Ashley has made his decisions like sacking Allardyce so he will have to lump it and try to put it right. Would be an utter twat if we get relegated and he bails out and seels us to any old fool. Would like to think he is prepared to take responsibility for his actions on the chest and to want to put it right. Seems like the kind of bloke that does. Lets hope so.

Weirdly, I have not heard anything about this reported in the press or on SSN

Birmingham will be right up for this and I am sure their fans will create a nasty atmosphere. Ultimate test for the players to see if they are up for this and if they have the balls for the fight. In a some respects,a tougher test than any game against the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, Man U etc.. Fulham game might be too late
