is "a pack" the correct term for a group of hookers ? i heard someone say "our defence will part like the legs of a 14 year old girl from liverpool"
-
At least the manager and players are on good terms eh Well, you know Decky, my forum friend, Newcastle are utter shit. I for one, can't defend their so-called 'good' performance (i.e. Arsenal), that's the sort of performance I expect every match. The reason for my expectations are simply that with the players we have (squad) and the wages they get, one should really expect them, as professionals, to fight in every single match.... other teams do.... just look at Derby... who are rock-bottom...or portsmouth... I'd say we should give Allardyce atleast a season. You know, it's fair, and for us (the fans) he can really prove his ambitions and true ability. We should only get rid of him if that's the requirement to have Ashley spend some big money. Allardyce is NOT new to the league. Allardyce should NOT be unaware of what type of players do well in this league. Allardyce is NOT new to scouting players for this league. Allardyce is NOT new to coaching players in this league. Allardyce has spent £25m on players of HIS choice. Mainly shit. Allardyce is now turning on the players HE bought/selects/trains. Allardyce has shown himself to be tactically inflexible and stupid. Allardyce has repeatedly selected the WRONG players and formations. Allardyce gave the captaincy to a player who had NEVER played for us. And who has been shit. Allardyce has since given the cpataincy to a player HE bought, who is shit. Allardyce should NOT be our manager, should NOT be given any more money. Allardyce is NOT the man for us, and keeping him in his job is NOT consistency, other than showing us to be consistently stupid. All correct and very valid. The most poignant being the one I have bolded Today, the fat idiot is reported as saying he is "unhappy" that his job rests in the hands of the players. What a fucking wanker. He ought to try being from Newcastle, and seeing his club in the hands of a second-rate, inflexible, overrated long ball merchant. Aye thats a fucking scandalous thing to say. Not quite sure how he can walk into training and look his players in the eye after that

its a clever ploy to get us players we have no background on so that we cant argue about where they should be playing
-
not sure which direction that conversaion went but.... my original comment was that the complaint with our team at the minute is that they appear to not be able to pass the ball simply to each other. That suggests to me that the coaching going on day in day doesnt not allow the players to develop their basic footballs skills and they are not encouraged to pass the ball - hence when it come to match, pressure situations, we simply cannot function. My comment of ALL professional players should be able to pass the ball to each other was in response to your justification that some simply arent very good at it. Well if they arent then they shouldnt be in the pro game.
-
Well, if you deem the majority of Newcastle United first team not bein able to control and pass the ball, then how do you see the vast vast vast majority of professional footballers who earn a living by playing football in all over the world, including those in Iraq, Malaysia, Spain or England? Shola Ameobi not a professional footballer then, despite scoring quite some goals in Premiership? Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard not professional footballers then, despite representing England National Football Team countless times? I think you are living in a fallacy with your own fancy definition of professional footballers, you are out of touch with the real world and your opinions on football should not be heeded henceforth. I honestly havent a clue what that is meant to be telling me

Its all about the Won
-
didnt we do ok in this fixture 2 or 3 seasons ago and still got whacked 4-0
-
True. Sam is almost safe from criticism in this one
-
Could be the reason Avram Grants initial period in charge has gone better than most people expected
-
so shouldnt we change the banner to " South Korean Defensive Midfielder to Toon"
-
Maybe Sam is Jimmy Cricket

Thats a good point. Sacking SA and his team of staff will cost a fortune, so soon into their contracts. At some point he will have to decide what will cost him more - sacking Sam or not getting Sky money for not being in the Premiership We are not going to get relegated. I currently cannot find the confidence in our team to be able to say that
-
chances are the Chelsea crowd will be as quiet as normal therefore allowing our cries of disapproval to be heard by everyone
-
In a competition you are bound to have better participants and not so good participants. If indeed in your ideal world all professional footballers are able to pass the ball to teammates despite under immense oppositioin closing down pressure, crowd pressure, expectation pressure etc, you will still find something else to moan at the lesser gifted professional players. ALL professional footballers should be able to pass and control the ball. Under near enough every condition. For me, if they cannot do it then they shouldnt be in the game Of course they arent going to do it every time, humans just cant do that but our team seem incapable of doing it to any kind of professional consistently. Plus, I dont think any of our players are "lesser gifted" which means they arent being encouraged to play any kind of passing/possession game.

We will score ?

Exactly. If you have to actually sit through the matches and see us waste that potential week after week it's more difficult to be positive than if you just look at the league table and think "Hmm, 10th. That's not bad. And we played well against xxxx on Sky the other week." think the complaint is having to watch professional footballers fail to execute the basic skills needed to get even into a school team... i.e. being able to pass the ball to a team mate

Shocking to think this retard gets paid to voice his opinions. Couldn't someone have thought to get him a thesaurus for Christmas?

Name calling very good. NE5 style posting no good. Sorry, couldn't understand what tosh you were speaking, not that am that arsed, only i do like to reply to people who quote me, even if they are talking gibberish. I think he was trying to say that a team considered half-decent isn't good enough to finish mid-table. Spurs have a half decent squad, Everton have one too, they manage it (Europe) Everton on a shoestring budget nevermind billionaire owner. And how long has Moyes been in charge? How long has Sven been in charge? Look you keep pointing to Man City... first off, we're only half way through the season. The wheels may yet come off. Second, and as I've already pointed out, they are one huge exception. We couldn't have expected to do half as well as they have. Any sensible supporter knew this would be a tough season for both clubs. As it happens Man City have performed well above expection. Doesn't mean we should expect it too. While I'm on... Everton under Moyes: 02/03 – 7th (no Europe) 03/04 – 17th (no Europe) 04/05 – 4th (Champion's league) 05/06 – 11th (no Europe) 06/07 – 6th (UEFA) At what point would he have been sacked as Newcastle manager? Great point. Time is the most important factor in his success. He signed a lot of carp too. Now they are a good side, easily top 8. Thing is are expectations lower there? Did the fans expect like ours? I doubt it.. In that first season though Moyes had shown enough to warrant being given the benefit of the doubt during that tough 2nd season. Had he finished 17th in his first season, how many of us think he would have remained ? Everton oviously, rightly, took the view that this man was capable of developing a good side over time - because of what happened in that first season. Compare that with what is happening with us now. Anyone have the details of where Everton were at after 6 months of Moyes's reing. Glen Roeder? Anyone with an ounce of sense knew it was more the effect of Souness leaving than it was Roeders management

Absolutely. We do have good players who could achieve so much more
