  1. Whats the chances of this being reported in the Nationals ??
  2. Just reflecting on the result and I have to say this result, potentially, could be huge. To use a cliche, it had every possibility of being "after the Lord Mayor's show" and a defeat (and maybe even a draw), could have knocked the confidence back to pre-Blackburn game levels. Having come through it with a win (and from what I read, not too bad a performance), and with the euphoria that a last minute winner always brings, it could take a huge weight off our shoulders. Maybe some smiling faces in training on Monday.
  3. I havent seen the game... .what was the score when he took him off ? losing 3 one with 20mins left Whaaaaaaaat ? Love to hear the pool fans' opinion of that one
  4. I havent seen the game... .what was the score when he took him off ?
  5. Same as when the goal went in against Arsenal in that people got behind the team. People were getting a bit hacked off in the 2nd half when were attacking on the break & the ball would end up going backwards to GIVEN/TAYLOR/ROZ. thats good to hear.
  6. havent seen it mentioned (only read the post maych stuff).... How were the crowd today. Particularly interested in hiw the reaction was when we conceded
  7. how the hell did diop miss that ?
  8. Bearing in mind Villa were one of the form teams, it makes this performance look even more impressive. Its just looks so easy for them
  9. just a brilliant, brilliant goal.
  10. The longer Portsmouth go on like this, the sooner we shall realise that we were just well beaten by a very good side who are absolutely bang on form.
  11. You gotta love Mr Souness havent you. Wanker.
  12. Pompey won the last 5 away from home. Fuck, thats impressive.
  13. Venables ? What the fuck has it got to do with him ?
  14. Whatever the opinion of Robert, we lost a good source of goals from Midfield after he left. Not sure we have ever placed that. Was always good for 10 or so goals a season.
  15. Those 2 goals at home to Tottenham man.... utter quality
  16. All about confidence Its been so up and down for Oba since he arrived. Give him a run in the side, a successful, positive, winning, side, he will rattle them in.

    Peter Crouch

Reverse psychology? Not at all. I rate him more highly that Kuyt--Crouchy has a bit of class about him, even if he has the elegance of a drunken giraffe. It really helps who he has playing around him and they movement they make off the ball. He would have those same types of player here and sadly would be very exposed

    Peter Crouch

Crouch is the archetypal player who has average ability that does well while surrounded by good players from every angle at a team like Liverpool - but this is his pinnacle. Once he leaves Liverpool he wouldnt look half the player. He had 1 good season at Southampton and Rafa has managed to use him well in his team formation and the players around him have given him a lot of confidence. If he came here I can only see him being a massive flop. He is a decent lad and has a reasonable level of ability but not enough to make him stand out wherever he goes. Its Liverpool that make him look good. Tottenham, QPR, Portsmouth etc etc didnt move him on because he was too good for them
  19. Dont really care, will be some crap about the pressure being released off BSA when the only pressure was the tosh they made up. Exactly. Ignore the shit they serve every day, everyone here should know how things really are at NUFC without some poncey southern writer sitting in his cramped office telling us. ...should tell you all you need to know, we were unlucky tonight i know. I shouldnt get myself worked up over the wankers. Good comment that from Wenger
  20. Reckon the papers will make very much of Arsenal missing Fabregas, Flamini and Hleb ?
  21. Barton's outburst has been directly responsible for the backing the team has received tonight, the first home game for ages where we have backed them from beginning to end. If he meant it, it was a stroke of genius. Let's keep it going now. Be nice to hear him follow up with a comment about the fans tonight He already gave an interview following the Blackburn game praising the fans. Aye I know but I think some small comment about the home crowd would go down well too. Cant have been easy walking out in front of them tonight not really knowing what to expect.... then a goal goes in with 4 minutes

  23. Come May, how many of the Goals of the Season are going to have been scored against us ?
  24. That makes me as proud as the performance of the team. Was a real join effeort tonight. Some good PR at last in tomorrow's papers.
