No he's on the bench- will be because cabella is playing and pardew sees dummett as the better defended especially backs against walls
-
Probably the away from home factor though doesn't make sense
-
Abied isn't on bench so must be injured

One of my go-to responses, that Good for him. Glad he said it. Fans can give so should be able to take What a load of bollocks man I backtracked above
-
Not many at Newcastle So what you on about then? Surely you judge him against the alternatives. I was giving my view on him.
-
Morons , but they have a point. I only saw him have about 3/4 consistently good games and I go to most What a load of crap tgarve. He really didn't have that many good games. 3 or 4 you reckon? Where he played well all game yes. Maybe 10-15 decent games overall. And yes it is hard to judge a flair player like that but for example-- and I know it's the extreme aguero/ Suarez play well pretty much 1 in 2 or more. He just could have been so much more and it's frustrating! Loved watching him play

I only saw him have about 3/4 consistently good games and I go to most What does that mean, "3/4 consistently good games?" 3 or 4 games where he played consistently well all the way through rather than just a spell in the game. Played the game correctly and worked as a team player with obviously his personal skills used to their best when needed Was such a shame he wasn't a grafter like Gouffran. I didn't say anything about being a grafter - I hate gouffran! I loved watching Ben arfa play... He just was inconsistent and a lot of games didn't contribute

Really strange- States all these 'facts' then the last line says there is no problem and the club insist he is a model professional

One of my go-to responses, that Good for him. Glad he said it. Fans can give so should be able to take Completely disagree with this, like. A fan shouldn't be held to the same standard as a manager, one isn't representing the club and sport in a professional capacity. Actually on second thoughts if a nurse said that to a patient that was abusing her she would be sacked I guess you do need to attain a professional stance when representing something. The fans who shout abuse direct to someone like this should also be punished though if that's what happens

Newcastle 1 - 1 Chelsea Fuck it! (Goes against all common sense) Hull 1 - 1 West Brom Liverpool 2 - 0 Sunderland QPR 0 - 0 Burnley Stoke 0 - 2 Arsenal Tottenham 1 - 1 Crystal Palace Man City 3 - 0 Everton West Ham 2 - 2 Swansea Aston Villa 1 - 0 Leicester Southampton 0 - 2 Man Utd

Well, no-one has said it didn't, and we all know how much the club love to release statements whenever there's a hint of mistruth. At very best, TheGuv has put a wildly inaccurate account of the conversation out there for the evil agenda he obviously holds, and Elliott doesn't even care enough to dispute it or put the record straight. Whatever sand you want to put your head in really. For me, everytime I see him let a soft as s*** goal in down the centre of his goal I just can't get away from the idea that he thinks he's only playing for Newcastle and it's not important. I know that's a bit unfair, but he's let the suggestion get out there and I can't shift it. Eh I'm not sure if I read the same thing- is there a link? What I read said he thought we should be a top 8/9 team... Which pretty much is what we should be surely with this lack of investment , surely he was being a realist... Do you have a link to the bit that you mean? "His argument was that the Newcastle fans think they deserve to be in the Champions League by rights and we need to know our level. I disagreed. ‘Where should we be then?’ he asked. I replied that just a bit of fight, belief and trying to play games with attacking intent could secure a higher PL finish than we’ll ever achieve with cowardly football and tactics. ‘Na’, he says. ‘8th or 9th is our level." (copied and pasted, so for the record I have correctly used quotation marks this time!) In isolation I wouldn't disagree that 8th or 9th is our level with this squad. However, to paraphrase Chris Rock It's the context in which it is said which is important. The context being that this is on the back of an appalling run of form which has seen us plummet from a very positive position of 5th to around 10th by getting beat lots to nil every week. The context that the person saying this is a professional footballer in the team, who it seems has decided to use an insulting old-hat cliche about fans expectations to absolve himself and his horrible manager of any responsibility and imply that such a run of results is fine because it's only Newcastle. I'd expect a player of the club to want do do as well as possible, finish as high as they can etc. That's why I find it hard to stomach. By all means feel free to go to the match singing 'Rob Elliotts black and white army', but I won't be joining in. Ah right I see now what you mean.... He is probably just making a flippant comment as he's been cornered into this off the cuff conversation and may have had drink taken so maybe wasn't meant to be unprofessional / rude to the fans but you never know. All in all I think the sub keeper is the least of the worrys and any vitriol should be sent to ashley

Sound's fucking confusing: Dafuq? So friendlys against shit teams will take over but now with added meaning- if you haven't qualified properly for a tournament? So if you are looking like qualifying you are left with meaningless games ?? Really confused here. How will the top division be selected? Surely all the top sides will be qualified anyway leaving the division 2 fighting it out for qualification? Can't beleive this will be used for World Cup qualification also. This is shite

So now stories about people having conversations with players in nightclubs are taken as fact word for word....?
-
Not putting aguero captain when he was on top form dererve the loss in points. And taking Costa out for bony at a loss. Dammit

At least we have signed someone else though. With Barlow and Alnwick/ woodman older aswel we have decent goalkeeper cover next season. Can we not get behind Elliot in this spell bareing in mind it may be his last? Or should we kick a (fat) man while he is down
