The lack of smiley suggests you are not being ironic! Beardsley Pav Bernard Elliott Aye, and Keegan once as a player and twice as a manager springs to mind. clarke!
-
its m'bia, kinnear still wants him
-
He told me he'd be out for 2 months when i spoke to him (Beye) on Jan 4th. no ashley told me different when i asked him on Jan 6th

Good post. Very good post but i disagree about guthrie, i think for what we paid and expected of him he has exceeded what we thought of him and he looks a very good, capable player. Definitely one to keep for the next 5 years, if not for a first team spot when we have brought in more players, a definite squad payer.

X, I, S, C, O, were gunna have a Xiscooo to the tune of that song, u know the 1, if he ever plays again
-
yes but when ur paying someone over 100k a week you expect f***ing 10x better then what he's doing at the moment It's not just Owen's fault, there is absolutely zero goals contribution from the midfielders. Duff, Butt, Jonas and Guthrie....how many have they got between them in half a season? It's pathetic. Very good point. take out butt, edgar, xisco and move nzog, that would be the making of a very good team imo, we arnt that far off as some people may think, its more the management structure and boardroom that needs changing.
-
good. glad ur all qqp fvke d of3 b
-
not like him, he usually drives it up and over the wall

I dont mind having Shola who is experienced,on the squad list for the next few seasons knowing that we have a bit more squad cover in the striking position come a injury crises or what have you. He isnt the greatest player in the world but as a 4th/ 5th choice he does the job. If we had more adequate cover in midfield/ defence like this I would be happy. You can never have too many people in the squad, and having someone who has played consistently in the prem rather than the likes of xisco/ lua lua/ edgar is a lot better to fall back on.

The whole given thing worries me. He is our best player in his position imo nd even though harper could do a steady job he would be a massive loss and we would miss him a few months down the line. Given in todays market should be worth around 15-20 million (and off the likes of city we could command that fee), when you consider what some players have gone for and the fact he is world class in his position, but with kinnear/ ashley wanting cash in quick they will probably let him go for around 8 mill and for one of the best keepers in the world and our most valuable player 8 million is a pittance.
-
Bartons our best midfielder? How do you make that out?Hes better than Jonas is he? Yes I think so. However I was thinking more about the spine of our team, rather than those on the flanks. I honestly think if we keep barton, give it a season (if he stays fit) and he will be back in england contention. People forget what a talented player he can be. At Man City a few years back he was playing a kind of steven gerrard role, and was scoring some cracking goals.
-
too slow for right back now tho surely. He career has sort of nosedived in the last few years, early for a fooballer like but seems to be nearing the end. Would move on for a couple v mill bearing in mind we got him on a free. He is nowhere near the first team if people are fit
-
Why would we sell our best central midfielder and why the fuck was he available for 2 million in the summer??? This club looks more and more like its going downhill
-
as much as I hate it he makes a good point because some clubs would just spend spend spend leading to more financial difficulties and clubs such as Chelsea ending up with huge underplayed squads. It also leads to the league being a bit more of a level playing field because when the big players get injured at big clubs they cant just buy ready made superstar replcements and have to cope like other teams. As much as I hate it for our own club it overall has been a good idea imo.
-
i know who would want him!
-
are u his agent like?
-
It's criminal! The majority on here know we have better players on the bench but ut has taken injuries for them to be given a chance. Let's just hope we continue in this vein and play so well that Kinnear cannot bring himself to reintroduce any of those clowns. u know they will be back though! its feeeeeking annoying. Although kinnear is doing a good thing by sticking with the same team when winning
-
He's imperative in our team tbh. Must be a permanent fixture as far as i am concerned. He's slow and he's not particularly skillful, but he is delivery. against teams like wigan/ stoke yes but not against the big 4, wouldnt keep up with the likes of hargreaves/ gerrard
-
i reckon itl b hius second hat trick today!
