Well no... i don't really know why i'm that bothered tbh. But it's more the symbol. The main point for me isn't really surrounding this game, just that he shouldn't have come back at all (McClaren); and we could have been morphing one of Bentley, SWP or someone else as the permanent replacement, long before this point. Instead, we're still bizarrely clinging onto this apparant sentiment, for whatever reason. So true. First of all, there's nobody that's even had a chance to prove themselves on the RW because Beckham and Gerrard (who should be in the middle) have been there. Second, there's still no real indication of who the next RW is going to be. Bentley, Lennon, SWP, Dyer, and Cole have all been played there, but nobody has any clue about who can really be effective on the right. I still think Beckham could potentially be a first-teamer, but you'd have to set the team up to make up for his weaknesses. Probably not worth it in the end, time for Capello to call it a day with Beckham. Well id not be suprised if england stopped scoring if beckham was dropped, he seems to set up or score most of our goals, from watching bentley come on against usa he is still not as good as beckham and i would probally play swp or lennon as second choice to inject pace into games late on. Also DB has never has good pace although he did have a quicker accelleration earlier in his career, may i just ask what justifys playing any of the alternatives above him at this point? England were at their worst when he was dropped and our euro chances only improved after he was recalled, once again assisting a few goals. Zidane playing in the WC final when he had no pace left shows there is always a space for class.

same here. Crazy! As for the reported £8m, it would be magic! But I'll believe it when I see it. £4m for Ameobi (plus loan fee) A buyer for Rozy £6m+ for Emre Wise = Hero. Wise = Legend if he can get £7m combined for Smith & Duff. I really really doubt wise is anyway near talks with other chairmen over transfer fees

wouldnt something like a one off newcastle united 11 vs england 11 attract more publicity/ make more money for the charity? or maybe a tornament including barcelona/ ipswich/ newcastle/ psv or the likes, annually, much better idea than the shitty newcastle/ gateshead cup

a player should be selected regardless of whether club trained or not. If he's good enough, he's in the squad

I reckon a bid for Santa Cruz would be well worthwhile. Even though they got him on the cheap last summer a bid of 4/5 mill would be worth it for a player like him. Ive always rated ashton but i wouldnt take a gamble on him as he hasnt been the same player since his injury, and weve yaken players on before in that state(Duff, Smith) Probs the best bet would be to look for a youngster and blood them in as Viduka's understudy. Crouch is a no no as i feel he is a bit more of a behind the frontman player and is rubbish in the air. Might aswell keep Ameobi if we go for him.

i do not believe i'm gonna post this and this may well go all round europe but out of those 3 i'd take crouch.

Got me right down. One of the many reasons I wanted Arsenal to win. why the liverpool v chelsea games of the last couple of seasons have been some of the best matches ive seen. quite lookig forward to them
-
defintaly not, i couldnt be bothered to go between forums, and im pretty sure there is only transfers to talk about in the summer, hardly gunna be team selection speculation or performance ratings getting lost is there cs there wont be any.
-
this. probly the nearest iv got to the feeling i will have if we ever win something/ when we win something!
-
I personally think he is nowhere near good enough for the first team but would gladly take him back as cover as long as he is willing to knucke down and not moan about it.

From http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_3369219,00.html David Rozehnal is set to return to Newcastle this summer after his loan spell at Lazio has failed to prove as beneficial as the Czech Republic international had hoped. The 27-year-old versatile defender agreed to join the Serie A side in an emergency loan move in January with the aim of getting regular first team football. However, Rozehnal has failed to cement a regular place in the Lazio back-line, and after being repeatedly overlooked the player's agent Viktor Kolar believes any potential move will depend on a pending statement from the Italian club. Permanant option "So far Lazio have not told us there plans," said Kolar. "The Italians have a clause which says that they can use the option of a permanent move until May. "Then we will know the whole situation at Lazio and we can make further steps regarding David's future. "We have been in contact with Newcastle, namely their sports director Dennis Wise, but everything will depend on Lazio's statement."

Dont know if this has been posted already but it seems some scouse bast*rd predicted the champions league draw 2 hours before it went out live on tv (odds of doing that near 200/1) and all the bookies stopped taking bets 1 hour before hand, possibly earlier if what the people on their board are saying is true. It stinks of conspiracy and the press have got the story running now. Would be crazy if UEFA the lead governing body was bent! Check the post out on the liverpool echo board: http://forums.liverpoolecho.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=33755&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 Posted: Fri Mar 14, 2008 10:28 am Post subject: Possible leak of draw -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rumour going around draw has been leaked..... this is no doubt rubbish but if Rumour is true it's LFC - arsenal and Chelsea - fenerbache and manure v roma No bookies will take bets on the draw either....... Let the draw commence. Comeeee on! and some other scouse monkey who reported it a day beforehand: http://answers.yahoo.com/quest.....656AAigxRG And the stories in the press: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/2008/03/14/mystery-as-champions-league-draw-appears-on-internet-two-hours-early-89520-20351088/

fucking cock. although hes sure to be shit
-
great idea, dump two of the people giving a shit

I reckon he'd make a good championship player tbh he has looked finished since his injury i would have taken him for 6mill 5 years ago but now he looks like a wigan/birmingham/ chapionship player

hey be fair to the lad. hes a well decent bloke. obviously is trying 100% for the side, plays the right kind ov football for the team, gets a hell of alot of bad press( mainly thanks to his england resignation, which was well noble considering what others have done [mclaren]to ruin the side) and never ever gives up or lacks his optimism, i would rather have anyone out there at the moment to manage newcastle, and in the end we arnt going to go down, hel rebuild in the summer and if the fans stay behind him hopefully we will perform next season. Get behind the lads!!!
-
i its fukin hilarious? what u on about mate, it will be a good thing if their not after him. hel stay this summer then settle down next season. nd he is a good player. definitaly worth hanging onto. They're not after him because he's not good enough. Yeah, that's a great thing for us. If we sign loads of s**** players, at least nobody will try to buy them. yep u got me there mate cs nzog is really shit. infact he's awful i have no idea why people would think hes a young talent

smith on form again today back in his midfield lampard esq role. must5 have made 90 challenges and his passes and runs into the box impeccable. on this form im glad it looks like theres a clause. who needs emre. what a player
