Also just realised I got more satisfaction from a 1-1 away draw playing as a second division German side on Football Manager 2019 than I did from this. And I'd have expected my German side to win if I'm being honest. Think I need to find something better to do with my Saturdays.

The sort of game where people say "great point" but the reality is it's absolute garbage. As a spectacle, as entertainment and as a so-called confidence boost. Just a waste of time for everyone involved. This club.
-
If we played like that in pre-season you'd be worried. Fact we're about ten games in is ridiculous. Playing like clueless strangers.
-
If you ever wanted an argument to reduce the Premier League to 18 teams, show them this half of football.
-
Another classic this.

Sounds like Joselu's career to be fair.
-
Love people slagging off Rafa's signings when we move so badly or late that he seems to often end up with options way down his list. Joselu was probably his 10th choice striker signing.
-
Real lack of quality in the final third. And CM. And the full backs are a bit ropy too.
-
Our momentium did get knocked by the Murray injury. Don't think we've been awful but really do miss that bit of quality. Kenedy just seems to look for Jonjo all the time - it's as if he thinks everyone else isn't worth passing to.
-
Don't understand why Rafa does this sometimes, for whatever reason just freezes players out. Obviously we don't know all the facts, but he's done it before with players and would be surprised if every single one was a disruptive influence? If he just thinks they're crap it makes more sense. But if he was doing it based on that in training they'd barely have enough for a game of 5 aside.
-
Has done well for us, but realistically is only the kind of standard all our first choice players should be. The fact he looks so much better than a lot of his teammates and the keepers we've had over the last few years is a damning example of the club.

Watched it on a bit of a delay. Three of the most lifeless substitute appearances I’ve ever seen. I know it was a tough position to come onto but Atsu especially may as well have not got off the bus. Shocking.

Unpopular opinion alert. Always find it bizarre where fans can lambast players, managers, chairman and the like, call them every name under the sun and throw anything at them verbally or literally (in some cases cabbages), yet if any of these people do the slightest thing back, the fans go up like it’s the crime of the century. I don’t care if he swore at a fan a journo or whatever. I care about the fact he’s running the club into the ground and doesn’t give a fuck. This strikes me as another huge case of misdirection. Everyone is so concerned about the lack of respect he showed by sticking two fingers up, it’s overshadowing the years of lack of respect he’s clearly had by the decisions he’s made at the club. I’d probably have more respect for him if he’d clearly stuck his finger up and told the fan to piss off for shoving a camera phone in his face.

In before the obligatory "we signed the wrong twin" post.

Yeah, would have been an incredibly soft pen. Perez practically pulled Maguire's arm into his midriff to make the contact look more pronounced.

When people moan about Rafa's transfers it's like complaining you've not been served a Michelin star meal when you've sent the missus out with 50p and in the shop there's only damaged tins of dog food left on the shelf.

Just seen from our 'average formation' at HT that Joselu has been deeper than Diame

Can’t even begin to comment on that half of football.
-
Absolutely filthy point.
-
That first half was up there with least effective buildup play I’ve ever seen for a striker from us (and Palace to be fair). Rondon probably begged to come off.
-
Could you imagine a neutral fan ever wanting to watch us? Christ on a bike.

That Obertan cross for Winjaldum first game of the season mind. Woof.
-
Has had the sort of life that when this thread is bumped, my first thought is that he's probably died.

Just still looks completely lacking in confidence. It's like every time he's played for us has the look of someone who doesn't feel like he should be there. Think there's a capable player in there but in the current team there's not enough going on around him to help him reach his potential. That and his crossing so far is comparable to the levels of Danny Simpson.
