I am amazed he is a professional footballer and 6ft 4, but is vegan. No wonder he's a big long weak dork sometimes.

Thank you for this. I'm probably guilty of looking at the current U21's and how bad they are, but it's promising to know it should be improving over the coming years.

wish folk would stop mentioning Vanity Scoresnone's goal record when it's mostly penalties. 2 penalties and 1 assist this season, come on man.

I had no idea he was at Forest. Seems very injury prone and expensive.

let's scuttle these chod French dweebs -
I'm sure I saw Barnes take a shot yesterday which got deflected and forced a save, then get shouted at by a teammate. Not exactly sure what happened but it annoyed me
-
Can't say he didn't have chances to turn it around, he must have some demons. Interesting his wiki says we tried to buy him in 2012, I can't recall that. Imagine him under Pardew
-
I think he'd be much more effective on the right. I think his hesitance is three-fold a) he wants goals, not assists b) he wants LW for England c) he doesn't want Barnes to shine on the left But ultimately, he's not productive enough for a) and the other two aren't up to him.

I don't even think it's something up for debate. It's critical we get more shots away. There's been games recently with zero shots on target in 80 mins, no shots in full halves etc. You'll never win football matches like that. As much as we struggle to create openings, there have been definite opportunities. Our shots per game stats seem fairly poor to me. For most teams their highest is their strikers, but ours aren't. Suggests we're not creating chances and/or they aren't being aggressive enough.

This is true, we sort of camp outside the box when we're attacking and let them get 10 behind the ball. No space.

It's ridiculous but we look so unthreatening without Murphy -
Unsure what the transition is meant to be? We look to be doing the same stuff, but everyone expects it now and the players aren't as good. I think it'll ultimately be fine but yes, not sure what we're transitioning to.

It's sort of astounding we just take the same approach, lineup and subs for every single game.

Barnes on left please for the love of God -
Thank you for this uplifting image

Is that the argument? Obviously not just buy random players. There's no reason he couldn't be aware of some players other than £40m+ ones.

Yes. Boy is a crossing machine

Watching the dumbest fucking match ever. Arbroath vs Greenock Morton during a storm and gale force winds. The Morton keeper is constantly trying to boot it up the park and it blows out the stadium entirely EVERY TIME and he KEEPS DOING IT. Honestly about 25 times this half. I've never seen anything like it. Must be the lowest quality game I've ever witnessed. It's class.
-
I think it's all fine wanting to aim for purely top, proven players. In reality, scratch beneath our first 20 players and the quality falls off a cliff. Our U21s get pounded every game. They've scored 2 goals in 9 games so there's not a huge amount coming through in the next few years either. I think some decent value acquisitions of youngsters is a necessity really.
