  1. not at all I was desperate.
  2. When I'm cooking for myself my standards go out the window (see: bamp pasta)
  3. The amount of idiots who claimed at the time that "its not that good, he only runs in a straight line" Completely missing the balance required, the split second change of pace to get away from the second tackle and the little chip while running flat out at the end to leave the last defender tackling thin air. The turn, the first touch which sends the bolton player for a paper, the little chip an inch over a defenders foot as he tries to tackle. It's beautiful. I remember screaming the house down when it went in. I remember the forum, was mental. Ended up dedicating a pizza to him and spelling his name out with ham. Watching it made me excited again. pics My bad, it was tomato sauce http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m5/TaylorJ_01/DSCF0062.jpg
  4. You say that, but do you not enjoy a bit of controversy? Obviously he's a cunt. However, I can't pretend all the chaos didn't make for interesting discussion. I have the same feeling about goal-line technology but, having been on the losing end of it with us a few times, I'm for that.

  6. The chip at the end is ridiculous. He's running full pelt and still has complete control. It's class all over.
  7. When you watch him for 90 minutes there's a lot of the time it isn't working. He's a good player, but his technique is a world away from anyone like Ben Arfa. Oh absolutely. It's a scattergun approach. Maybe it's best to go for that rather than try and improve his decision-making for someone like Walcott. Not a very long term plan however. I'm not suggesting he has anywhere near the technique of Ben Arfa though
  8. While you mention Walcott - it's interesting to note how they are different. Walcott tends to just run really fast all the time but usually without engaging any part of his brain. Suppose it works, though.
  9. Highlights were depressing. Terrible mistake gifted us the goal. Only a couple of hightlights involved us attacking. Debuchy's shot was class.
  10. the Bolton goal displayed everything. Initial huge turn and burst of speed, prolonged pace and close control of the ball.
  11. That gif really accurately describes our set pieces
  12. Ever been in Sportsdirect? I'm sure you have. Well the music that plays annoyingly over the tannoys while you wade through the piles of indistinguishable mess (usually generic rock guitar) - it now seems to play on the website with the same guy advertising nufctv. I fucking hate Ashley.
  13. please be overly stubborn. Would be a totally Liverpool thing to do and tie in nicely with their previous money-throwing-away exploits.
  14. What game is that referring to? Newcastle vs. Sale Sharks.
  15. I hope WBCP is going to update the OP with all these. Can't keep up already!
  16. Pacos de Ferreira - Third place in the Portguese League last year and above Braga? Anyhow, as I say, I don't wish this to be 'woaaah pre-season means nowt' kind of arguement, or Pardew still isn't getting this right, as he's not. I just feel that, like every year, things are taking far too seriously by fans during pre-season. It is about fitness, technique, stamina and working on systems. Results are really un-important. Mainly as were bored, there's f*** all happening transfer wise and this is all we have to talk about. Only just, and Braga are always there or thereabouts and have been in the CL a fair bit. But yeah, I get the point. It's not the be all and end all but I think pre-season can be a bigger indicator of things to come than it's being given credit for.
