I mean, you'd think the governing bodies would see the potential in having more competitive leagues. Think of all the rabid fanbases all competing for similar success. As it stands, the ones at the top get bored and the ones below get bored. I'm completely bored at the thought of never being able to compete for anything other than survival and mediocrity. I'm sure there are fans of Bayern and the like that are totally bored of smashing every team 5-0. It's just rubbish now. Feeding more money into the EL would be a good step in the right direction, however at the moment they are just rewarding teams scraping into the group stages with HUGE amounts of money. So you'll get the top team in Russia/Kazakhstan/Scandinavia/Ukraine/Portugal etc who, if they can squeeze through, catapulting them miles above the rest of the teams in the league in terms of money. It's scandalous tbh and it's killing our game. The above has happened to Portugal. The fans don't give a f*** anymore.
