I, like the rest of us, have no idea what goes on. I don't believe we are in any position to comment on issues regarding the running of the club behind the scenes. However, the whole Keegan thing really shook the place up. To be honest, I was ecstatic with the Keegan appointment like the rest of us. It just backfired horribly and we have suffered as a result. I also think he acted too late on the Shearer appointment, however good a decision it was.

To be fair he picked up (a bit) after his errors at the start. I'm not going to forget about the last few performances becauce he just had a bad one.

The annoying thing is, Barton was actually looking not bad at some points. Stupid tackle. Duff was good again, he must be running out of steam, playing for a shit team where he's the only player in the other half who gives a fuck.

Maybe i should have clarified: over the last two seasons, not the last game played. He'd still be up there. Have a go at Duff for being s*** all you want, but he puts the effort in, something a lot of our other players need to do. There's far better players than Duff in the side, but none of them have the heart he does. Well, not many of them. He's a winger, he's supposed to produce in the final third. His best perfomances have come at left back, so yes I agree he puts the effort in. I disagree. It always appears that we miss Duff when he goes to left back or is just not playing. Out of the squad he is probably the last player I have any beef with. Anyway, that's besides the point. I always think Enrique covers alot of ground.

I reckon Owen, Martins, Gutierrez, Coloccini, Bassong, Enrique, Nolan, Barton, Xisco (despite seeing nothing of him), Beye will all be looking to leave. Players I would keep and I think would stay would be Viduka, Duff, Butt and Taylor. Unfortunately that leaves us with no squad. Would like, therefore, to see Lua-Lua, Carrol, Ranger and maybe a few others put into the first team or make regular appearences. We may need quite a bit of money if we go down tbh

Maybe WE should take the piss and put Harper upfront to see what happens, in his full goalie gear. Whenever we get the ball we should hoof it out for a throw, can't see them getting anywhere if we do that for 85 minutes. Then BAM we play it through to Harper when they least expect it, takes it round Reina and slams it into the empty net. Flawless plan.

Indeed when he goes to a team that are creating three times the number of chances we are, and he is scoring 3 times as many goals. We will realise what we had. I agree with this

His finishing can be a bit suspect but the guy has a fucking shotgun for a foot. He is lacking in confidence. If we had the Martins we had when he was on form now we might not be in this mess. That's a very fair statement. Exiles, or plastic Geordies will never fully feel the same way as people who are from the area or lived there for large parts of their life. You could call me a plastic Geordie I guess, and I feel like shit at the moment. Can't imagine how you guys feel. I have visited the area for a few matches and it's clear how much the football club means to the city. It really is what seperates it from other cities in England. Long may it continue.

For f***'s sake, it's happened loads of times here. 'Can't wait to see the back of N'Zogbia/Milner/Parker/Emre' etc etc until we gradually work our way down to a Butt-Nolan-Guthrie-Ryan Taylor midfield. I know people will never be happy with what we have, but stop criticising undoubtedly our best players when there are players who might as well wear sandals and have a lunchbox playing infront of them in the team. It's crazy to think people are insulting the only player with an ounce of creativity in our team. Not what we need at the moment to be honest. I'm never sure, not being at the games myself, if the opinions stated here are common amongst the fans. Probably not.
