Agreed, with Freddy disappointing seasons often still resulted in a decent position and European football. I think some people are stubborn, however I don't know the ins and outs of how he ran the club on the inside. Everyone else other than me appears to be pretty clued up it though...

OMG...what a midfield compared to ours! Creativity and pace in the same package which are exactly what we're lacking so badly! None of our midfielders would be even close to breaking into that mid4. Sad but true When you play two wingers, the two in the middle need to be sensible, one goes forward when needed, one sits back, both need to do their defensive duties. Barry and Petrov don't, as they're pretty much the same player. Then thank god we have Butt and Nolan.

I finish work at 6 and the games finish at 5.50. I'm considering shutting myself in a room until MOTD comes on at night... I'm stuck between not going to the work and watching the game = losing money and risk seeing us go down live going to work and missing the game = maybe see us stay up

I don't care about relegating Sunderland; I just want us to stay up. And, fwiw, the mackems are a better club than Hull will ever be. Yeah I'm pretty sure everyone would rather we stay up. My main point was that Hull can win and we still have a chance of staying up. Couldn't have said that yesterday.

The good thing about this result is, it gives us ANOTHER way out. Now Hull can beat Man Utd and we can still stay up, assuming we win. Not saying it's likely, but we just got given another small lifeline. Think of it as having one water wing in a tsunami... or summit. I think we should just send a load of random geordies out for this game with the intent of relegating Sunderland.
