Strange statement. The "New NUFC" job is the right job for any and every quality manager, just think of what will eventually be ahead of you. The only exceptions amongst those 'quality' managers, are those who are literally scared to death of themselves not actually being good enough to win a short-term fight against relegation. There are a fair sprinkling of those around, and in the real world we would just call them what they are - cowards, pure and simple. We will soon have the right manager for the job . . . whoever that may be !!!

Yes, I agree with all of that. Also, if Emery was a very good manager his current club would be doing and saying everything they could (fair and foul / truth and lies) to keep him - which they now are, so he is. Today will be interesting!

Still not 100% certain . . . https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-10157335/Newcastle-Unai-Emery-not-Magpies-new-boss-says-Villarreal-president-Fernando-Roig.html

Yes, he seems to support Sunderland !
-
It all seems to happening very quickly (all of a sudden). Does that remind you of anything??
-
Looks G O O D to me !!!!

Which 'train station'?
-
I remember laughing at the prospect (during the 1974 Local Government Reorganisation) of the newly proposed merger of the towns of Washington and Sunderland being more likely to be called Washington, than Sunderland. Washington was actually the 'older' more historic place name, that had just recently had the new-town added onto it. In the end they went with Sunderland as the name . . but it nearly was Washington !!!

Your use of the word "everyone" is . . erm . . not quite correct !!
-
OK then, let's just leave it at that !!!
-
Because it is obvious, completely and definitely and invevitably so. Ashley is gone, he only has a remaining impact, inside your head, if you allow him to.
-
Just call it "The Airport", we would all know where you meant, after all there is only one airport in all Newcastle.

As I am sure you are aware of from the Takeover Thread, I was aware that PIF never withdrew their bid to anyone in the Consortium, they only "said" it for public consumption. Throughout the 18 months I repeatedly said that the success of the Takeover was completely inevitable, because of the calibre of our buyers, Reubens, PIF and PCP. They have bought us as a consortium, not as three individual groups. That is one of the differences between you and I - I said what was inevitable before it happened, not after the event !!! The "calibre" of the consortium and its constituent members has not changed, so do not get concerned about it - this is only the beginning of a VERY long journey.

How does it fly into Ponteland? Some of the gardens in Darras Hall are big, but not that big!!
-
About on a par with that . . maybe !!
-
In all my many years on this forum, that is the most "removed from actual reality" post that I have ever read.
-
But there is an air of logic about it. I'm not saying it will happen, but perhaps he could be a back-up / temporary choice, until our first choices realise we are safe from relegation later in the season?
-
I would have thought that - by now - you would have learnt the value of W A I T I N G !!! Because that is what you, and I, and all of us, will have to do.
-
The reason I had absolute certainty over the last year and a half that our Takeover would definitely succeed, was purely and simply because of the calibre of those who were buying us. They have now bought us, and their ability levels have not suddenly plummeted. That is all I need to know, and indeed all any of us should need to know.

I have posted this article a lot on here in the past, and on various other forums worldwide . . .

We will N O T be relegated, we will definitely not be relegated. It will be close, very close, but we will not be relegated I am sure of that.
