Well said Keith. It is interesting how all these obsessive "negative types" (the let's deny facts and logic types) always claim words like 'balanced' or 'realistic' for their negative exagerations. As I have said many times, when logic points to a positive outcome, then positive = logical and balanced. That is why the 'positive' thread should be renamed as the 'realistic' thread. I have always been of the opinion, since I started listening to Keith, that he not only says just what the various legal teams say that he can say, and no more, but that often he says things that they specifically "ask him" to say. It all appears to be part of a drip-feed plan, spoken by Keith, co-ordinated by the legal teams. That is just how it (always) seems, to me.

Yes, I was not saying that the EPL do not feel they have a strong case, they may well feel like that whether rightly or wrongly. I said that the EPL are not able to just do (or not do) what they WANT. They are bound by the FACTS that will be presented in the legal cases.

It is inevitable that the Takeover will have to be approved, as there will be shown to be NO legal reason for it not to be. That is what these legal actions are all about. It is not relevant what some of our perceptions are about what the EPL might "want" to do (or want not to do) that is why fact-based legal action is being taken.

For goodness sake, let's change the title of the "Optimism Thread" to the "Realism Thread", to accurately reflect the truth. It will not be long now until you all realise the truth.

Realism is best, in fact it is the 'only' way to be. Just look at the information we have, then join up all the dots, and you come to the ONLY answer - the logical answer.

If you have followed this at all over the last year, you would know that they have not walked away from the Consortium. You would know that they publicly stated that they had walked away, to the EPL. You would know that (1) Arbitration and (2) The Competition Case, would not have started (TWO separate expensive legal cases) if there was no point in starting them, and there would be no point in starting them if the Saudies had (actually) walked away.

It has always been happening, it is just a matter of WHEN.

There is, of course, a chance that it will be done in the next 2 months, however that is not what I said. Things will be happening over the next two months, we all know that, so there is no chance of the "two months off" that GWN mentioned, happening for NUFC supporters!

That is very unlikely, given all the currently known information. It is not impossible (I suppose) but it really is VERY unlikely.
