They did that fucking pathetic gay shit yesterday as well? Cunts.

Well, Swindon turned him down.

I don't mind taking it.

Do you think Dave Hockaday is a cunt?

You like to think you're a complete joke to the media, rest of the world etc., in my eyes you were not. Until now. Sorry.

The Middle East really don't need to make money in the short-term, you know. If anything they need to find ways to spend money like hell short-term that could become something that isn't a massive loss-maker and can break even in the long-term. I know they don't need to make money, but the essence of an investment group is to invest money to make money, not to lose money short term and hopefully break even long term. I know that they are ridiculously cash-rich at present but i don't really understand the point in investing for the sake of investing just to hopefully break even long term. It's not like if they didn't invest it someone would come along and take it away from them... What happened to good old fashioned leaving your money in the bank for a rainy day?! I suppose the one thing they may hope for is positive western exposure... Positive exposure, yes. The UAE cannot leave money in the bank, otherwise they'd be at risk of silly amounts of inflation, they need to get rid of it somehow in the short-term. Also - that Emirates Palace place where the deal was tied up was somewhere I visited 10 days or so back - it's a hotel, one of the most expensive in the world. It's absolutely massive - but apparently it's rare for the place to have more than a 50% occupancy rate - it's not financially viable if one was looking to break even or anything, it's just a way for the Middle East to tell the world that they have money, I'd say the same applies here. -

A lot less dodgy than Thaksin - plus such groups are hardly short of money. -
Man City taken over by a very much so less dodgy group than Thaksin. :|

Well, not entirely. Foster had only had a great season with us in the Championship and was still fairly erratic at times, albeit brilliant and legendary. It's somewhat similar as neither had done nothing huge of not beforehand and had a good season in the CCC. But Hull are mugs - and real pace is enough of an attribute to do well in the Championship alongside the journeyman veteran centre-backs.

That is absolutely stupid. Not in the slightest tbh. They know they're getting a very good player, with bags of potential, who they know works for the club and works in the team. They could get an unknown or a past-it for similar prices and not get half the rewards. Will be pleased for them if they pull it off. The market for British players, young players in-particular, is extortionate - we have to live with it. Of course it's stupid. He's had 6 good months in the second division, for him to be priced at anywhere near £7m is a total joke. If we'd bid £7M for Ben Foster the season we came up - I'd have been ecstatic and would've been proven right. (Even if he appears injury prone now) I'm sure Frazier Campbell would be well worth the money next season for Hull when they're back in the Championship and yo-yo back up netting lots of cash because of him. Good point. The bit about Foster or the semi-constructive thinly veiled dig at Hull that wasn't at all serious?

Gift-wrapped can only be applied today to Pablo Counago's goal against us, sorry. I saw that when I went back home briefly after the match. Very poor, looks like you're going to have a bit of a struggle on as well. The second half after our goal was actually really good. The first half was like last season. I felt awful for the first 45, downtrodden at half-time, but right now am filled with boundless optimism. We were shit. We went 1-0 down. We continued shit. We hit post. Play ok. HT Play well. Score. Miss sitter. Continue dominating. Play decent football. Score. Hold and win well against the 'football team' who are 'just too good for us'. Bloody inbreds - threw a fit last year when we beat them at Portman Road for 'managing the game' in an unsportsman-like way and playing hoofball. They can fuck off. 100% home record so far this season - it delights me to say that. First half was shit though.

Yeah, fuck off Ipswich.

I reckon with Duff/N'Zogbia/Gutierrez, you have enough to see you to a decent level and could maybe do with some younger back-up and potential stars as opposed to a big name winger - you should focus more onto a big creative midfielder. Maybe Skjelbred, but I quite like Adam Lallana, he won't be ready from the Premiership yet, but in my opinion is bound to be a very good player in the future.
-
Except the bit about John Westwood. His bell has rightfully been stuck up his arse, the freak.
-
You won't find any atmosphere there though.
-
Wanted Luton, Darlington we should win though - bigger draw afterwards hopefully if we don't fuck up.
-
Hope we get Luton. So we can laugh at them for the last time.
-
I would watch Wycombe if Mooney still played for them. I'm not going to watch that cunt Kevin Phillips play though, he's a twat.
