Read OP and reply #1, and come back and say that to our faces. Right then. I'll tell you of a manager who was way down the list who took a job, with no resources, no players, shockingly low morale, and a future that shared similarity with Chernobyl. He came in and steadied the ship picking up some good results. He built a strong mentality and loyalty in the squad and stood up when Journalists with the little more than bitterness fueling their pens, wrote stories about him that were false. He stood up and had a go at them and called them out, in an unconventional and un-professional way, but he did it, he did not sit like a Roeder would and just let it smack him in the face. He has held his tongue over some shocking decisions, and been told despite no new owner coming in and the club being taken off the market, he will not be getting anything like the funds of those around him. He has never once critiqued the fans and their kneejerks from the stands, nor has he ever come out and hung a player out to dry as the villian, something he could have done with quite ease. He has made some poor tactical decisions but then who hasn't? He has a midfielder put in prison come out and start performing just to be crocked for months for a daft tackle, that same player then goes on to crock his best defender. To be blunt, James, he's here till the end of the season so just shut the flying f*** up and support the bloke, because at the end of the day he either keeps us up or sends us down, but right now in this moment in time, he's one of the few doing something positive to keep us up. Only because he got warned by the FA because he wouldn't shut the fuck up about all the others. He's done alright, but he's been far from good. He's done slightly better than I expected but I honestly think we could have done better. Like I said before though, the blame goes much higher than him doesn't it. He's just the puppet.
  2. That cant be right? Can it? That's right. It's not quite the full story though is it.

Funny how we still got into the Champions League, ey? Not as if Souness didn't have the funds to improve them. No, what he did was use the funds to fuck up the defense even more! Complete non-argument. I honestly have no idea how anyone can be in this idiots corner. Ever.

Did you actually support us when Souness was here? I did, I didn't think he was THAT bad, yes, he took us down the league, but there were good moments, moments which others have failed to achieve while also dragging us down the league. You're talking shit. He was terrible.

Kinnear isn't that fucking bad. At least he's adapted in some ways like not dropping Bassong, giving N'Zogbia an extended run, playing Gutierrez on the left. For these things alone he'll always be above the likes of Fat Sam and Roeder for me. He may be a loose tongued idiot with severe limitations but at least he's shown some adaptation. The root problem goes further up the ladder to the people that appointed him.

I hardly call a 20+ page thread kneejerk. The team looks fucking dire. This kind of reaction is expected from some parts really.
  7. I'm starting to get very tired about this constant shit that I get dished up every week. I'm not even angry about this.. I just don't care. This club made me fall in love with football, it shaped my childhood and I've seen the team.. my team play all over Europe. Now with all the shit over the last few seasons, this one especially I'm starting to resent it. I'm so sick of this fucking mess.
  8. This kind of thing happens a lot with us and there's a good chance we'll regret not putting some of these chances away in about 70 minutes..
  9. I hope it has been injury keeping him out as opposed to a needless bias.
  10. Enrique comes across as a determined character who would rather prove his worth than shirk away. Shorey would be a good challenge for him to up his game and iron out some of his more obvious weaknesses. LIKE SIMPLE FUCKING PASSING.

    Jonas Gutierrez

Agreed, how anyone can slate him on here is amazing. His work rate and skills are unbelievable. Other teams rate him obviously, otherwise they wouldn't be double marking him. Is it because Wise signed him? Could that be the underlying reason some don't like him? It can't be his footballing ability surely. It's not his fault that he beats 3 players and crosses the ball to where the strikers should be but are floating about somewhere else. My guess is that a top 4 side will snap him up sooner or later and he'll be very sorely missed by us. my problem is he need's to start providing goals we can't rely on other's, we should expect around 10 goals a season from him, robert and solano would get around the mark consistently apart from that he is a very good player, pity we ain't got the coaches to teach him how to shot You're living in the clouds if you think that any of our midfielders are capable of 10 goals a season. To be fair to Solano and Robert, a lot of them goals were from dead balls and we don't have a player that can deliver a good one in or hit the target consistently. Jesus, it's a miracle if we score a goal outside the box now-a-days. Jonas has 2 or 3 assists so far. It's a start and I think with some more like minded team mates we'd get the best out of him.
  12. I couldn't, money down the f***ing drain. If you want you could send me the return ticket. I love free flights.
  13. Spurs look terrible. Wigan are passing alright though. Not a nice game to watch, this.
  14. Yeah, a spearhead role would potentially suit him. Whether he'll come good in this league we'll have to wait and see.
  15. I'm really unsure about Modric. Like you said, he looks out of place in a 4-4-2 and he's the type of player with the price tag and reputation that you'd expect to build the team around.. but apart from the odd glimpse he hasn't really shown anything other than being neat and tidy with the ball. Maybe he'll take a season or two to pad in, but based on what I've seen so far I wouldn't call him an ideal candidate for a midfield point of attack.
  16. I stopped reading after the first paragraph. I can't be doing with building my hopes up.
