Grealish and Saka making all the difference up front. Kane looks spent.
-
If you're going to go with a front 3 of Sterling, Foden and Kane, you don't get your wide forwards to hug the touchline and isolate Kane, they should be cutting in and allowing the wingbacks to overlap. That's another thing, what was the point in changing the wingbacks other than to validate taking so many?

It's almost like no one believes the media hype. He might have had a run of 2 in 21 but he's April 2021 manager of the month you know? You don't get much more prestigious than that!

Cowardly choices by Southgate again, cowardly set up, cowardly game plan, slow and laboured on the ball, no movement off the ball, no build up play, this was as stinking as any recent memory of an England performance. Left it too long to bring Grealish on, persevered with Kane up top with no service, shoehorning players in instead of setting up the team to play a style. This is just going to be another wasted tournament with a sub-par manager. Nod to Scotland, they played high tempo, dictated the game from the off and defended well, even had the better chances. Played better than the sum of their parts and can be disappointed with a draw.

I've said it Once, I'll say it a million times, take everything with a pinch of salt, it's on until it's not anymore. Everyone has an opinion, everyone is confident about this on both sides of the fence, those that know anything about anything you can count on one hand and they won't divulge anything to anyone outside that small circle. No one knows the outcome of anything, not even the people at the top that will make the final decision, literally not a soul on earth. I wouldn't hang your hat on anything anyone says.

They deserve Allardyce more than they deserve Rafa
-
If it comes to Bruce still being in charge when we next face them, although I hate Everton, I couldnt bear for us to win, even a draw would see Bruce claiming he was as good as "the mighty" Rafa, ugh!
-
Got to admit I'm a bit gutted, but the takeover is far more important than Rafa, would love to have both mind. If it does happen then I wish him the best, just don't think the supporters will ever warm to him.

Last 4 minutes to be played, then a 5 minute half time and then the second half.
-
Same tbh, was choking up watching that unfold.

Horrific situation to watch through the TV, really hit hard watching that, can only imagine how his teammates are feeling. Fantastic to see him going out sat up! There shouldn't even be anything to talk about though, this game doesn't go ahead, for the sake of the players, officials and family.

Twitter is an echo chamber of bad takes. Where discourse goes to die.

Thanks mate, I saw his tweet realised it was obvious click bait and supporter goading and read through the comments, his reply to anyone calling him out was "you haven't read it." So I did the unimagineable and actually read one of his pieces with the sole intention of picking it apart for the click bait it is. I'm still waiting on a reply...

That's me ??

If they want the club to be sustainable it will need a large cash injection on and off the pitch to get in the position to do so. We're not talking £150m per player but certainly much more than we've ever spent before.
-
Are they planning on a friendly or holding a grudge for 20 odd years?
-
We're literally playing a game of school playground "he said, she said". With what little information is available it's easy for either side to spin it any way they want and depending how your opinion lies, your own gut feeling, you're going to gravitate to whoever is interpreting your feelings best. Euros can't come quick enough, we need something to distract us from the giant middle eastern elephant in the room. Let this play out in the background, let the grown ups do their jobs and see what comes out the other side. I don't trust Jacobs and I don't trust Keith.
-
Wait until we go through another 2 in 21 scenario (pretty much guaranteed) he'll crumble like the house of Pards with a full house every other week.
-
This is possibly the hardest thing I've had to come to terms with, but Everton are such a bigger club than us, they deserve a premier league winning player come manager with pedigree such as April 2021 manager of the month, it will be a hard pill to swallow but Brucie has proven, against all odds, with barely 2 pennies to rub together, how great he is with a lofty 12th place finish with minnows NUFC. Cometh the hour, cometh the man.
-
Like I said a few pages back, each side has their agenda, Jacobs might be a little more clued up than others but he's still a layman. It's in his vested interest to play down the other side and try and discredit them, just as it is for Keith to do the same for the buyers. Not worth getting riled up about, Jacobs has chosen his side.
-
Pretty foolish to pretend you know which way this will fall based on the rantings of people either side of the fence. It's their job to play down the other sides strengths and try and discredit them to the best of their ability. The only way we know one way or another is when the man in the middle making the decisions based on the evidence put before him decides which way it falls. I don't begrudge anyone being positive or negative as some have to hold hope, some prefer to err on the side of caution to protect their mental health. The enormity of this proposition can't be more important to the fans. What I can't stand is the righteous indignation and goading, name calling and ad hominem attacks. What's the point? You can be as assured as you want but none of us know until it happens. While there's still legs in this there is still hope and some people need to hang on to that because to them the opposite is not worth thinking about. Personally I'm still cautiously optimistic, if/when that rug gets pulled there's nothing left for me here.

Not a chance, he's bought himself a few more years on the gravy train by keeping poor little no marks NUFC in the PL for another season, equalling the mighty Rafas point hauls with no money...
