If the last 48hrs have taught the footballing world anything it's that the ODT solves nothing and preventing our takeover for the "integrity of the league" is akin to sticking an elastoplast on a cracked dam. Something has to give, hopefully it's the tissue paper thin ODT and not using NUFC as the benchmark to bolt the proverbial stable door.

Absolutely disgusting from the money hungry teams, imagine wanting a closed shop competition with a few scraps thrown to other teams that may just get in. What makes the "founders" deserve an automatic spot when you've got Arsenal barely scrapping a draw against Fulham and Manure that's spent the last few years meandering in midtable, arrogance beyond compare here and they call us fucking delusional
-
I get the nerves cuz this is NUFC and we're quite capable of imploding at any time, especially with stodgy Steve in charge. But none of the teams below us have shown at any time that they're capable of putting in the run or results in they'd need to close a 9 point gap in 6 games. Solid 1 for me now.
-
Unacceptable 2nd half this, acting like we'd already won and just need to see the game out, negative and cowardly to give them that much possession.
-
How has this oaf not brought Willock and Wilson on yet???
-
Intentional spelling mistake?
-
But surely the argument here is that the highest courts in SA gave written notice that the two were separate entities and the PL said "aye, nah" so MBS went to Boris and said "Tell them will you." Doesn't mean they are the same entity.

It's looking like a lot of the skullduggery we all presumed was happening, was actually happening. Whether that turns into cold hard evidence at this point is impossible to figure, but circumstantially it all looks a bit sus, especially with the timing of the introduction of Hoffman.
-
But we all know that because he won that game for us pretty much solo that Bruce will hoy him in from the start and sub him off for Wilson.
-
I think its fair to say we all agree with Edwards that Bruce should go in the summer and let someone else do it. I think we can all agree also that Edwards should go and let someone else cover us.
-
I'll be honest, I hate the rancid piece of lard in the dugout and have felt I was fully removed from this "football club" but ASM had me off my seat today and I wasn't even fully watching the game, I celebrated both those goals, damn you St Max! At this point I just want us to stay up and hope that something materialises in the takeover front, I can't be invested in this pointless club as is.
-
I tend to agree with the sentiment but I feel its more luck than design, I think he wanted to repay the team that played Spurs and hoped those two could save his ass when it looked obvious it wasn't working. ASM probably saved our season so I'm not going to complain.
-
They don't have the intestinal fortitude to see a game out, could be a game of who's the shittest between us that decides the drop at the end of the season.
-
The only reasonable and logical explanation is that they want to go down as some kind of back door to the takeover. However, if Ashley's NUFC has taught me anything its that reason and logic was left to die in the corner 14 years ago.
-
Part of the problem/part of the solution, that's what it boils down to. I live pretty far away and haven't been up to SJP in 2 years but wouldn't go back all expenses paid.
-
I believe the takeover is still active, I'm on the fence as to whether it will amount to anything but voted yes because its what Ashley, Charnley and Bruce deserve. For what they did to Benitez, for what they've done to the club and for how they've treated the fans. We are a disgrace to football, never mind the so called "best league in the world" there are much more deserving clubs in the league below.

Took me a second, I just thought you were being dyslexic again

At least its all coming out in the wash now, the Bruce sycophants have nowhere to hide, turning to ad hominem to prevent admission of fault. Listening and reading what's been said since the Brighton game there seems to be a sea of change for all but his most avid supporters. It won't change a thing but I'm glad of it nonetheless.

Alex stood his ground well, factual and unemotional in his answers, enjoyed that.
-
Yeah Alex said he'd been invited on Twitter earlier, what's being said?

I've watched more during this lockdown, hadn't watched any full games of last season, couldn't bring myself to watch 90 minutes of Bruce. Again, probably a mixture of boredom and morbid curiosity, it doesn't even make me angry anymore, I know what to expect. This game is no different, probably have it on in the background and quit watching once we're 2 goals down, maybe flick it back on at the end of the 2nd to see just how many we've conceded this time. Kane and Bale will tear us a new one.

So difficult to retain a sense of decorum when writing about the structure that has demolished something that you love, took a lot of will power to remain eloquent and prevent the profanities from flowing.
-
Absolutely, Ashley has minimised any and all commercial outlets since he arrived all for the benefit of his tat emporium, wouldn't take a business guru to grow that immediately. Man, imagine a club that actively strives to maximise all revenue streams and invests them solely in the vessel used to attract that additional revenue. So much untapped potential here, get the fans back onside and smash the glass ceiling, I wouldn't care where we were so long as we were maximising our potential to be there.

Done my bit, worth it if just for a vent.
