Absolute cuck mentality, enjoying watching someone else smash the shit out of what you propose to love.
-
Best all round if he just goes and we can get on with waking up some zombies and burning the club to the ground!
-
I think that one's explained by a level of naivety from him. When he was persuaded to make a statement in support of Ashley he simply hadn't realised the backlash he was going to get. He was the supporters hero, they waved a giant flag with his face on, and then Bishop whispers in his ear ala Wormtongue how he could ease a lot of pressure if he just persuaded some of the fans Ashley wasn't all bad. Going from hero to villain was likely a bit of a shock and still mentally effecting him now. Viable theory? Certainly something in that. agree I'd say that's pretty spot on, I would imagine he's lost a lot of respect in the dressing room too with that, that could affect him and players relationships with him.

Fans pen open letter, club ignores, release a "leaked" letter from potential buyer, it's just a little too coincidental at this point.
-
You could hire someone to come round every Saturday of the year and hoof you in the knackers for 90 minutes, that should be more fun.
-
Why does he get to put the price of purchases on the price of the club? Surely he would just be spending the club's money to increase the value of assets at the club passing the money from one hand to the other? It'd be different if he actually stuck his hand in his pocket. I don't know why I'm trying to make sense of the smoke screen tbh

I think I read the report in the guardian and the story is that he's already taken out the £10m and intends on recouping substantially more in January against the debt. I stand corrected, it was the Telegraph:

That's a cracking way to put it, I saw a steward last night tell a fan to stop shouting with a finger on his lips. Absolutely, the proof is in those that say they shouldn't have to walk in late or miss a game after a hard week at work it's what they look forward to, but in the very next fucking breath excuse themselves from a game for a family dinner or are happy to walk out 11 minutes early because we're losing and that's enough for them. If you want to go because you don't miss a game, rain, wind, shine or death then I get that, you want to stay and sing songs at the top of your lungs and cheer on the players at 4-0 down then all power to you but don't disguise selfish petulance as anything other than what it is, you know you're doing more harm than good but it's what suits you. So fucking cured of it now.

We deserve to go down to prove you cannot stay in this league with zero investment in playing staff, you can't expect to trouser all the money and sprinkle some spare change on the squad and expect it to continue to make progress or even stand still. This has to be a lesson. We deserve to "do a Sunderland" and if the fat leach remains our owner then it's about time we did. Fwiw I think Rafa will just about squeeze enough from this team to keep us up, but we don't deserve it (Ashley doesn't) and it'll just be a stay of execution for when Rafa leaves and the next lickspittle comes in. Can't wait for Mark Hughes to get £100m and still take us down.
-
Another player playing in the wrong league. I’m sure Rafa expected us to replace him within a year of signing him though. All our players have major flaws, that's why they're here and why they were cheap, we have a decent Championship side playing well out of their depth, none of the players we own should be in a Premier league side looking to compete in the premiership bar a couple of the defenders and the keeper, all of which will go on to better things for a price if they continue to play well. I like most of our players, but wouldn't have them in the team if I had the choice, they are tryers who play for the shirt/Rafa but just aren't good enough, bottom line.
-
In fact I think the correct terminology at this point is numb
-
Boredom, frustration, anger, disgust, helplessness, hopelessness, despair, rage, etc...
-
Gulf in class is palpable, half decent players and we win this, they aren't great shakes, we've had a canny few chances just no quality to finish the ball. Rafa may as well smash his head against the wall cuz he's on a hiding to nothing with this bunch. Players are clearly trying, just not good enough, depressing as fuck to watch.
-
Perez played an unbelievable pass to Atsu who might have scored. Don't think he's been too bad. He gets so much scrutiny by our supporters, I don't get it. He's been crowded off the ball a few times but he's not been bad at all, that pass to Atsu was sublime too!

Thanks for fuck all Reporters should be banned from Twitter. It's resulted in them needing to fill their timelines with absolute unneeded guff. Not blaming then directly as it's just the culture we're in now but fucking hell, what is any point in that tweet other than the masses are demanding information from someone who clearly has none? I don't think it's a load of guff, I think Edwards is just saying that the S*n and Mirror reports are crap, nothing has changed since before Christmas and no one knows anything different. Daft that it has to be said but so many fans have whipped themselves into a frenzy over those dubious reports he probably felt he had to quell the fire.
-
I would imagine you could probably afford it solo tbh
-
We can only hope to replace Rafa with the much superior Grayson
-
Aye, he probably did, as they were the last options on his list and didn't want to go without! Like picking up that fat bird at 5am so you're not going home alone, hardly ideal.
-
Mike Ashley and his Sports Direct United can get to fuck, along with our hopeless "fans" who go to "support the team, not the regime" whilst simultaneously booing Perez for every misplaced pass. It's all a massive crock of shit and I can't be fucked with it any more. Merry Christmas

I'm sick of having to defend him against Twitter idiots, Ashley doesn't pick the team, Ashley doesn't make the subs, Ashley doesn't make us play defensive, Pardew and McClaren would have been vilified for playing how Rafa plays. We all know the answers to these statements but some idiots can see past the end of their noses it's fucking infuriating. I don't know why I do it to myself but I can't just scroll past an idiot who might make another idiot see his point of view. If Rafa had Pardew or McClarens players we wouldn't be in this mess, I had to point out that Pardews much better team also got stuffed 6-0 by a weaker Liverpool for "having a go". It's all just so very sad, sad and embarrassing, watching a once proud club that stood toe to toe with the Likes of Liverpool struggle to look Fulham and Brighton in the eye. Nothing against those teams but we could and should be much better with the tools at our disposal, were it not for the tools in charge. Even with Rafa in charge, the looming inevitability of the decline one he goes makes it very hard to hold on to anything anymore, if we're not getting bought (we're not) then I just want Rafa to go and this nightmare to be over, burn it to the ground and put Ashley on top of the fucking bonfire, I hope his world collapses and his retail "empire" of tat comes falling down around him, the gutter is too good for him.

I think a 4 page thread after 50 minutes or so tells it's own story
-
Buying a season ticket to NUFC next season with Ashley in charge is akin to buying B&H Gold because it's your favourite brand even though you've got lung cancer.
-
If he doesn't sell before the seasons out it can all burn to the fucking ground as far as I'm concerned. Anyone who renews a season ticket with Rafa gone, some patsy in charge and Ashley still at the helm deserves the pound shop version of NUFC that's left, they can get to fuck an all.

The Mirror reporting Now there's a fucking surprise.
