  1. I loved watching that Bulls team, got me into Basketball and playing at college level (yes I'm that old) albeit in England. Truly were a sight to behold, just pure domination, shame the Bears team have never lived up to that standard bar a brief moment in the 1985/86 season.
  2. How have Dortmund not scored yet?
  3. Definitely 12 men on that Real side and yet Dortmund still look the much better side. Bellingham been anonymous. Dortmund have waltzed through that Real midfield with ease. I just hope Dortmund take the 1-0 win they deserve and its not another scabby Real win, just feels like the ref will have a say in the result here, some dodgy ass penalty shout.

    Tosin Adarabioyo

I don't think we'll ever know if he's the one that got away because I genuinely can't see him getting much play time in that squad.

    Next season

Hang on, the idea of this, which just happens to have transpired when the sly 6 all get back in Europe, is to prevent "fixture pile up" by basically giving them a bye into the next round, ergo more games? Make it make sense.
  7. Twitter (I know) is awash with supporters re-reviewing the season a week after reviewing the season based on a game played by another team. Europe or no Europe 7th is a minor miracle after the season we've somehow slogged our way through. Yes, the Conference League would have been great for a shot at silverware we'd have to be favourites to win and of course for the co-efficient, but players aren't considering us as a destination or staying with us because of that, they're buying into the project. We are still on the way up and next season is going to be immense!
  8. Provided we stay relatively injury free and with no Europe, I genuinely think we'll worry some teams who thought we were a passing wind after this season.
  9. Welp it was fun while it lasted
  10. Proper hangover football this
  11. At least we're getting to see why we had no options on the bench during our injury crisis
  12. Boehly will probably give him the managers job for 6 months to tide him over
  13. Man that was equal measures of infuriating and mind numbing drivel. Why can they not get it into their thick heads we don't care about Ashworth, the club don't care about paying him a wage over principle and how they and Ashworth are the ones in the wrong? This could have been over so quickly if they just came to us and said we like Ashworth, can we talk to him and see if he's interested and if so we can negotiate a fee? This isn't about "tapping up illegally", it's about a complete lack of respect, underhanded tactics, disclosure of confidential information and a derisory, insulting fee offer thinking they can get a cut price on a senior manager they unsettled "well he doesn't want to be there any longer, might as well get rid". Timu Mike Ashley really showing his true colours and they're lapping it up, can't wait for their Keegan moment.

    Next season

There will be a lot of rotation in the early/mid conference league games anyway, no way will we have to utilise our best players for more than an hour, much like in the early stages of domestic cup competitions.
  15. To me this reads as we offered him the chance to stay at Palace and he rejected it, he's on his way!!
  16. There's no such thing as twitter.com anymore it's been permanently changed to x.com which doesn't embed.
  17. I think we'll bounce back hard here and really put then to the sword but not until we've got through another shaky start.
  18. You want to know the mean, look at last season and the start of this one, making comparisons to a threadbare squad is asinine, you're judging a carpenter who has been given a screwdriver and a hammer to work with.
  19. I think it's unfair to judge him on the happenings of this season, just a question mark over the level of injuries we've had. We defend and attack as a team and when integral parts of that machine are missing then there's glaring holes in the system. It's no surprise that the loss of Joelinton greatly exposed Burn and the loss of Pope opened up huge holes for the over the top ball. Howe has tried to adapt to these changes but creating a new system half way through the season is never going to be infallible.
  20. Therein lies our issue, we've had no choice but to play him, but now we do, Joe looks solid, great cameo by him again today. I don't blame Longstaff and I can't blame Howe, but it is massively frustrating watching him stink up the pitch. Hopefully he gets his injury issues sorted over the summer and he can offer us something from the bench next season. He's not as bad as this version of him, I wouldn't sell him just yet.
  21. Next season will be interesting, Howe does need to show his ruthless side though and bin off as much of the Ashley dregs as he can including some of the fringe players that have had a lot of game time this season. Next season we'll have Man Utd in transition and a lot of how they adapt will be down to what manager they manage to get in. Liverpool also in transition and I think we'll see some of their old guard leave along with their manager. Aston Villa have got a tough season ahead of them with the extra pressure of the CL, the extra games and unless they make some changes to the way they play I think they'll have it tough in the league too. Chelsea look to have found some form, although it doesn't look like it's going good with Poch, they'd be daft to let him leave or force him out, but something isn't right there. There's a good opportunity to be in the mix for 3rd down, but we absolutely, categorically have to get the summer window spot on and that includes losing some deadweight and some of Howes favourites.
