I can feel it in my bones, we're on the cusp of an historic win and the perfect revenge for the last time we visited the Parc des Princes, 1-0 to the Toon, bring it on!!

It's probably just as simple as dropping him from games where the opponent sits in a low block, he's not much use when we're looking for creativity.

I've been nursing an iliopsoas strain for 5 or 6 weeks and it's hard to discern as it just feels off but you can't pinpoint the pain, even with stretches. It wasn't until week 6 that the pain moved to a proper groin strain as nerve guarding relaxed. What I'm trying to say is its not as cut and dry as some might think and not as simple as blaming the coaching setup for over-playing him.

The whole season has been brutal tbh, bar the run we've had in the Carabao and Champions League but all of it could come to a screeching end very quickly in the next few weeks. It has not been an enjoyable season at all, except the very sporadic great performance, nothing has clicked, even the midfield that was the envy of the league last season has looked powder puff. A lot of mitigating factors to consider, but by the day the loss of Isak has looked more and more damning, ultimately its a game of goals and without him we have very little threat. I don’t know what the answer is, but I do know that canning Eddie off one bad season is not it.

Can this season be over now? Can we bow out the league and just play in the cups?

It's easy to say PSV were poor last night but I think its unfair to dismiss our hand in that, we were intense, tenacious and clinical and they couldn't deal with us, we forced errors and capitalised on them. The way we played made them look poor as we never gave them time to settle or get into their own groove.

Plaudits where they're due, Howe has taken a lot of flack recently, some of it deserved, but everything clicked tonight and he deserves as much praise as ire he's been getting. This has been a strong CL campaign by us in only his 2nd ever attempt and he has to take credit for that.

Missed the game (perhaps I should miss more?) As I was helping my daughter run errands, but just watched the replay back, we were quality! Seems that starting line up wasn't so bad after all? I'm so happy for Wissa bagging on his full CL debut, Joelinton and Hall were absolutely class too. That was more like the NUFC of old, more of that please 🙏🏻
