Anyone seen the Taylor interview on NUFC.cock? He's a shell of a man, looks defeated. The negativity is burning through the whole club like wildfire, it's sickening.

I can't see MA happy with relegation, yes he may be set to trouser some money in the short term with sales of our 'purples' however we don't know what clauses they have in their contracts and whether we would make any decent amount of profit from them especially after this season. Even so the damage to the club's bottom line in the long term would be far more damaging to his pocket. Every man and his dog can see what is wrong with the team, now whether Pardew is stupid/arrogant/proud he clearly cannot and will not make the required changes to move us forward, I know it's risky changing manager at this point in the league and at this threat level (see Shearer) but it could also have a catapult effect (Roeder) and must be worth the risk after that gutless, pointless performance. I've never seen such a display in B&W in all my 35 years, it was beyond embarrassing. After our wake up call against the Makems it should have been a humbling moment for Pardew, but he obviously slept through his wake up call because rather than rectify our deficiencies he seems to have exsaserbated them to the Nth degree! There's no moving on from here, he's lost it, the teams lost it and most people have completely lost all faith in him. Pack your bags and fuck off Pardew, thanks for the 5th place finish and European football but you've been found out now and nobody wants you anymore!

He's never going to know. Won't live to tell the tale?

Newcastle United vs Liverpool - 27/04/2013 @ 5.30pm (ESPN)

So glad I'm not watching this today! Perfect opportunity for Pardew to show some intent and prove to us he can handle it and change our fortunes and he bottles it AGAIN with his containment philosophy, he's just a joke! Fuck off out my life Pardew you cockney bullshitting tosspot!! -
Do you even know our history? To understand that all we ask for is free flowing, attacking football. Just look at the managers past, it's clear to see the successful ones are the ones that impose our game on other teams and the managers who have been hounded out play, well, your kind of football!

I've had a few cracked ribs in years past, very painful, even a sneeze or a cough will floor you. So kudos to Papiss if he's playing through one, though I imagine he'll be on better painkillers than I was!
-
That was an embarrassing dive, Bayern are good for their win but this ref has been useless! One offside goal, one blatant foul before the third goal! Feels like watching one of our matches!
-
Divvent be daft marra 6th next year!!

I just can't see anything in Pardews locker but a flat 4-4-2 with Carroll in the team, there's no way he'd be on the bench as a plan b. it'll be the first half if the season all over again only worse as I rate Ba over Carroll IMO.

Nothing to do with formations there is more to do with football than formations..... Its due to how little movement and how the players are completely and utterly shackled by Pardew's tactics. We never have more than a couple of a players in the box at a time, that is the reason we struggle to create we are always too deep and trying to cross to two players who have no aerial power in the box and just watching the ball come back at us time and again. http://i71.servimg.com/u/f71/16/55/20/10/nufc10.png Out of all that playing in our own half is the key reason why we struggle to create and score goals, the formation is irrelevant what is relevant how ever is the tactics and mentality of the manager. Everton and Liverpool hardly have bigger and stronger squads but what they do have vastly superior coaches. I know that man and I agree with you. Exactly what I've been saying all week, there's no movement, no outlet, Pardew screams at the players to get back, there's nothing they can do but hoof it forward. It's the manager who is responsible for the lacklustre displays cuz there's nothing they're allowed to do!

Norwich and Wba play well on the deck with very limited sides. Don't even need Swansea as a yardstick tbh - they are lightyears ahead of us in their general play. Totally agree, was just referencing a quote by Ronaldo. There aren't that many in the league that play hit and hope tbh, it's just a panic mode we seem to go into every match at some point and Pardew should be screaming at them to keep it on the deck but he seems happy for us to do it.
-
I'd love for us to play somewhere between Swansea and Barca, but I'd settle for a bit of pass and move and venturing out of our own area with the ball on the floor, utilising a decent midfield rather than hoofing it to a midget and watching it come back for 70 minutes a game. I want to see us go after a game and not nervously try and cling on to a slender 1-0 for 80-odd minutes!

You can blame the players all you like, as a retail manager I can blame my staff if my store is under performing but if my staff aren't performing who do you think my area manager blames? It's my fault they aren't doing there job down to my handling/training of them. Ergo the buck has to stop at the managers door, Pardew has more than capable players in his team, the fact that they aren't performing HAS to be his responsibility.
-
Our aim this year was a top 8 finish according to the tactically inept one, he has a stronger team than the one thy finished 5th and no Europe to contend with and he expects us to swallow a top 10 target?? Typical cowardly Pardew, aiming for the stars!
-
Real football & goals Where's the fucking tactics man??? Crazy bastards, what kind of team tries to score again after going 1-0 up?? They'll regret that, they should have played for the draw!
-
I haven't even been able to take satisfaction from the Europa League, yes it was great getting so far and finally being back in Europe where we belong, but, damn we were bloody aweful for most of it and an embarrassment to ourselves. We had some lucky/scrappy wins.

The air is foul with the stench of BS

You've got to imagine that Ashley can't be happy with this at all, the "plan" isn't working as someone else pointed out a few pages back as our players are depreciating rather than us having the ability to sell on at inflated prices. That coupled with the value of the club in general depreciating, yes we're on a better financial footing and we're being more prudent in that sense, but even so a club in 17th is worth much less than a club fighting for Europe. A failing club with depreciating players in not a valued investment, Ashley, a shrewd business man will not stand for that for long. I bet if one of his SD stores was haemorrhaging money the store manager would be binned rather quick, I don't see this as being any different in his eyes. That. Is. All.
-
I don't profess to be any kind of footballing expert, however I do understand the basic principals of pass and move, pressing the ball and man/zonal marking, all tactics that seem to elude Pardew. Here's one for the twitter thread, Football 101 by Alan Pardew. Inexcusable!
-
That is exactly where I am right now Yorkie, after January and seeing our players coming back there was a glimmer of hope he could turn it around and I was happy to persevere but after THAT display on Sunday he's completely lost me. It's taken me until now to come back on here and articulate how I feel without filling the page with obseneties! How can a manager not enjoy any sort of success with this crop of players? I've a feeling he'll get at the very least until Christmas but if he's to be replaced we need to give someone a full preseason to get us going again.

Like I said, I think it's the general opinion that stability breeds success, I.e Alex Ferguson et al and I also think that given what happened with him historically may lead to Pardew being given more time yet. Agreed stability does bring a modecum of success, you can see that with teams like Arsenal and Man U but would anyone put Pardew on an equal footing with Wenger or Ferguson? You need a decent manager as well as stability. Chelsea and Man City have a history of removing managers due to a few bad results, and in that sense I agree, they've had some amazing managers they've binned because they've only won one trophy that season, now that's insane.
-
Good post. Ironically enough given the opinions on here I think one of the things they'd have to contend with if they binned him is fan discontent. Not that I think they give a s***. It's essential that if we do replace him, we replace him well. Ashley has shown he doesn't give a toss who he upsets if he thinks he's making the right decision. Rightly or wrongly we have a reputation for getting on our managers back and I think in some way that has affected people's opinion on Pardew, the constant drilling of the idealism of stability is also a factor. Even taking the above into account though, we're in a rut and Pardew hasn't the tactical nous to bring us out and utilise the strengths of our players, we have one of the strongest midfields in the league on paper but we're being out battled and outplayed by teams of Sunderlands ilk. We're 2 strikers away from having one of the strongest sides I've ever seen in black and white, we're a long way away from that on the pitch and the buck has to stop with Pardew. How do you think we would fair with this team under the late Sir Bobby, so is our current predicament acceptable? I'd say not!
-
Surely flirting so close to relegation and some embarrassing results, not least of which against our biggest rivals for bragging rights and a minimum expectation of a top 8 finish is enough to bury him?! Agreed its no good sacking him so close to the end of the season whilst being dangerously close to relegation, I think Ashley will have learnt from last time that management changes in this predicament can have serious adverse effects. Once we're safe, we should bin him, there are NO excuses for this season, especially after the purchases made in January, plus even the thickest of football fans can see our players are going backwards in quality at an alarming rate! Even the newest additions such as Sissoko, who looked a beast when he joined is looking jaded, unskilled and disinterested. Rant over, just sick of the shit performances, lack of cohesion, tactics, movement, pressing and marking and sick to death of the constant stream of bullshit we get fed after every match!!
-
That's exactly what we're doing now now I mean more so without any attempt to play it through midfield. With Carroll he'd have the perfect excuse!
