Actually looking at it, the first 10 fixtures are set up pretty decent. After the tough 4 games the next 6 are all very winnable, plus we're arguably playing the best 2 teams in the league at the best time.

Injuries & suspensions are probably less likely at the beginning of the season so we could be going into those 3 'difficult' fixtures at full strength.

I do think we would be willing to pay the fee for Rice but the wages and the London pull will probably make us short on what he wants. He's the next England captain, I think for that reason we/PIF would find a way to get the fee sorted within FFP, it would be massive for PIF to have the England captain playing for a team they own.
