  1. A couple of years at Real Madrid, some La Liga titles & Champions League runs then to back to here to lead Eddie's charge on the Premier League & break Shearer's record at 33. Easy.
  2. Tyler Adams would be a canny signing if we could get him for around the £20m that Leeds paid for him.
  3. Guler is 18, seen as a generational talent for his country and regularly starring for his club & according to reports would cost less than £10m. Gallagher is 5 years older, had a very good half a season in the league a couple of years ago and would cost £40m & probably about £100k per a week in wages whilst also helping one of our rivals out of a financial mess. If we were to spend £40m on three players this window there's no way I want one of those to be Gallagher.
  4. Don't rate Gallacher much and it also helps Chelsea out of a financial hole so for both reasons it's a no from me.
  5. Absolutely fine considering a few have been on the piss most of the week.
  6. https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/the-championship.1608079/ Convincing themselves that they don't really want to be in the Premier League anyway now.
  7. I see that world beater Michut who was being lauded on RTG when he signed on loan has decided he doesn't fancy staying at Sunderland. Unsurprisingly he's now not as good as Corry Evans according to the RTG faithful.
  8. If we do get Champions League it's a guaranteed 6 extra games before Christmas, given the way this season has been scheduled due to the World Cup I'm not sure how much of a difference these extra games will make to us having to play twice per week & thus then the squads make up. The Premier League will be back to it's usual schedule, we knew the squad would need to be bigger regardless of European football but I don't think we need to be going out and getting in additional 6/7/8 players. Those that leave will need replacing and then we need to add a few bits of quality and a couple of squad/younger players.
  9. Yeah pretty much, it looked like he was caught in two minds a bit. He tried to feint/dummy slightly and slip it past Steele but just got it wrong.
  10. Van Hecke, it looked very close & surprised there wasn't much of a VAR delay on it.
  11. Deal agreed with Liverpool apparently so might not see him again for Brighton.
  12. Did we not go into the season with 6 options? Willock, Bruno, Longstaff, Joelinton, Anderson (rightly or wrongly Howe viewed him as a CM) & Shelvey?
  13. You not heard Longstaff is injured?
  14. Whats similar between Tierney & Wood?
  15. If Coventry get promoted Mike Ashley is going to worm himself into it, they're already paying a ridiculous amount in rent. I imagine that increases based on promotion, he'll be after some of the club.
  16. I think there's some canny sell-on fees included for their previous clubs as well. Spurs paid a big fee to Leeds for Clarke, I doubt they'll then have sold him for pennies without any clauses.
  17. They'll get decent fees for their good young players so it'll be interesting to see how they get on trying to re-invest that given their model.
  18. Morris should’ve been off for that tackle on Neil before their second goal, they’re a new Wimbledon.
  19. I think this is right (stats bloke on Twitter) but we’ve won 8 of the last 11 games, Liverpool have won 7 and Brighton have won 6. So that’s 8 out of 9 that we had won prior to the Arsenal & Leeds games, that’s pretty unsustainable for any club apart from about from 2 or 3 in the league.
  20. This is supposed to be the fun period where the side is building and we can see sustained progress over a period of probably about 2 seasons before we're serious contenders for the Champions League spots. Both unfortunately and fortunately we've progressed at a mental rate to where that period has been skipped and we're now at the every week is a cross between the highest highs and lowest lows. Tactics that could have been worked on for a full season (Isak & Wilson) before Isak takes on the mantle himself as the out and out forward are now kicked out after 2 games because it's not immediately brilliant. If we do get Champions League I think the feeling around the club will continue as it is, any drop off in form will be seen as a real problem. I worry how people would react if we didn't again qualify for the Champions League in 24/25 if we're successful this time. It's something Howe, Ashworth and co will have to look at because by being so successful so quickly they've probably created some unrealistic expectations.
  21. We're not that team anymore, that was a team with about half the ability and even less of the coaching and management this team has.
  22. For all Brighton are a good side they're more than capable of throwing in a bad performance as well, they've just been beaten by Forest & Everton. They can concede a lot of goals, let's not pretend like they're the second coming of Barcelona 2010-11.
  23. Can’t wait for Howe to be hounded out after we start next season without a win in the first few games.
  24. Aye the goal difference isn’t great for Man Utd.
