Aye I know, be lush if we did though.

I do think we would be willing to pay the fee for Rice but the wages and the London pull will probably make us short on what he wants. He's the next England captain, I think for that reason we/PIF would find a way to get the fee sorted within FFP, it would be massive for PIF to have the England captain playing for a team they own.
-
I mean in reality the great thing is that none of us have really got a fucking clue what's going on.
-
I mean it's not like we're being linked to Che Adams & Daniel Amartey just yet. Lavia, Maddison & Barnes would definitely improve us.
-
Sorry like but until we actually start winning things regularly a league cup win should be on the same level as a league title for us.
-
But he was never going to be offered £100m here, he's only being offered that because it's Saudi Arabia and it's the only reason they can get these ageing stars.
-
Good job it's top 5.
-
I thought they still needed more sales for FFP? They've known Nkunku was away for ages. They're also signing Baumgartner from Hoffenheim for about 25m as well according to the same bloke who's been on about the Szobo links.
-
Lois Openda going to Leipzig from Lens for around 30m according to Romano, hopefully they're using up some of the money they're expecting from the sale of big Szobo.

I suppose things change, this time last year Livramento was at the start of a lengthy injury and not available, now he's back fit and his side have just been relegated. Ashby was brought in for peanuts really, if he had a good season on loan we could in theory sell him for a decent profit or just keep him around and have one of those 'squad' things. Anyway it's probably in this thread for a reason but if they see an opportunity come up regardless of what we already have in that area I think we look at it.
-
22 and played little to no senior football, a loan makes a lot of sense. Livramento is 2 years younger with a full PL season under his belt. We're in a position now where signings don't have to be instant starters, a year on loan in the Championship would be ideal for Ashby.
-
Ashby goes on loan for the season, Livramento is class like, I wonder if he can play left back as well.
-
Not a chance that Targett is on 100k per week.
-
I think Kuol was only about 250k or something along those lines, definitely less than 1m.

Champions League 2023/2024: Group F (Newcastle, Milan, Dortmund, PSG)
KDT replied to Marko NUFC's topic in Football
Why? -
A couple of years at Real Madrid, some La Liga titles & Champions League runs then to back to here to lead Eddie's charge on the Premier League & break Shearer's record at 33. Easy.
-
Tyler Adams would be a canny signing if we could get him for around the £20m that Leeds paid for him.
-
Guler is 18, seen as a generational talent for his country and regularly starring for his club & according to reports would cost less than £10m. Gallagher is 5 years older, had a very good half a season in the league a couple of years ago and would cost £40m & probably about £100k per a week in wages whilst also helping one of our rivals out of a financial mess. If we were to spend £40m on three players this window there's no way I want one of those to be Gallagher.
-
Don't rate Gallacher much and it also helps Chelsea out of a financial hole so for both reasons it's a no from me.
-
Absolutely fine considering a few have been on the piss most of the week.

https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/the-championship.1608079/ Convincing themselves that they don't really want to be in the Premier League anyway now.
-
I see that world beater Michut who was being lauded on RTG when he signed on loan has decided he doesn't fancy staying at Sunderland. Unsurprisingly he's now not as good as Corry Evans according to the RTG faithful.
-
If we do get Champions League it's a guaranteed 6 extra games before Christmas, given the way this season has been scheduled due to the World Cup I'm not sure how much of a difference these extra games will make to us having to play twice per week & thus then the squads make up. The Premier League will be back to it's usual schedule, we knew the squad would need to be bigger regardless of European football but I don't think we need to be going out and getting in additional 6/7/8 players. Those that leave will need replacing and then we need to add a few bits of quality and a couple of squad/younger players.

Yeah pretty much, it looked like he was caught in two minds a bit. He tried to feint/dummy slightly and slip it past Steele but just got it wrong.
