I think when people said "hang on a minute, why should these toffee nosed arseholes be given ticket priority to the Cup Final ahead of real fans" their response was that the FA Cup Final was an event for everybody, not just the two teams involved. To that I say - f***ing bollocks. My response would be "yes, yes it is. And every fucker has a television, so they can watch it on that, and let the fans of the teams involved have the fucking tickets."

Tbh, the more I think about it, I think I despise most London clubs as I have smug relatives who support practically every one. I think the only two I don't despise are Palace and Charlton, as my two relatives who support both these teams don't have that smugness. They have some sympathy from us unlike the others, and will happily admit we are bigger than their clubs. They also don't make irritating comments about the north being a shithole, and stereotyping the northern people.

Wasted seats man.

is that people who are members of 'Club Wembley'? I think thats a stupid idea. Fair enough for England games, but iirc I read somewhere they can apply for cup final tickets. Just wasted space for fans of the 2 teams involved. They bought the same seat for every game played at Wembley for about 5 or 10 years iirc. Something like that anyway. England games, Cup finals, play-offs etc. Thought so. I'd like to know how many bother going to every game they've got that seat for. Can't see them all rushing to the League 2 playoff final, nor do I believe they turned up in their droves for the FA vase. I know those 2 games won't sell out, so it doesn't matter, but its just the principle that in a game where 2 teams, no matter at what level, have made it to Wembley, there's neutral fans taking up space who in some cases probably couldn't give a shit who wins.

Got relatives who are Spurs fans. Only ever really see them around Christmas, but since I was a bairn, they, along with my other relatives who support Chelsea, have always had this smugness about them. Even in the first Keegan era, when I was about 7/8, they were having a pop at us for no particular reason. What really got me is when they (Chelsea fans included, and at about 30-40 years old) were winding me up about snatching Sir Les Ginola off us, 2 of my favourite players.

I'm going to see my relatives in London this weekend, and me and the father were planning to do the stadium tour, but with the playoffs on, then England vs. the USA, stadium tours aren't on until next Friday so I cannat go. Have to say I was looking forward to seeing it though. Had Darlo or Carlise got through, we were gonna look at going to one of the playoff finals, but with something like £26 starting price for Stockport vs. Rochdale - no fucking chance.

Apparantly he was there to watch them this weekend, and has been offered the manager's job there. He's considering it. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/article3958862.ece

I agree I don't think he'd come looking at those figures, but no harm whacking a bid in.

I wouldn't mind an away kit like the Columbus Crew kit.

f*** off, you're quite clearly mentally retarded on an epic scale and claiming to be fluent in 4 languages and the like is just making you come across as a complusive liar and a try hard. I am. I am Indian I have to learn two languages which is important to my family. Now your going to be racist to me, I bet. mackems.gif You know the amount of times I have been abused for being Indian? you're not the only Indian person who has ever been abused because of their race, and not everyone on here is a racist. For someone who took 381 GCSE's at age 5, you aren't half jumping to assumptions.

Just looked up Haringey, 'cos I didn't know where it was. It's in Greater London, near South Tottenham!!!! he's a mole, a mole I tells ya! :frantic: Quick! Change our transfer targets to something stupid!
-
did Keegan, Wise and Jimenez do their GCSE's a year early like? This is a bit off-topic now like. To GypsyKing's original post, I think the latter is more than likely the sort of process that is going on.
-
The fact that you recognised them has probably made their season. Falmouth FC written in massive letters on their t-shirts. Desperate to be recognised.
-
Falmouth FC ( ) on an end of season piss up, all with t-shirts with nicknames on walking up Dean St. today
-
Also, can anyone recommend a site that sells a bigger variety of tops from around the world? I know ArgentineSoccer has a good selection of Argeninian ones. www.subsidesports.com

Shearer: "Really good final, I enjoyed it."

Distin obviously feels his shirt is more comfortable being worn back-to-front

aye I thought the same. It seems so flat. Imagine if that was Newcastle, people would be falling over the seats going absolutely nuts, and I'd also imagine a few would have got onto the pitch. Haven't seen any crying Cardiff fans either, although I just popped out the room. Even though we were underdogs in '98 and '99, I still had a weep.
-
Yes. I would say anti-climax, but it's kinda suited the build up. ahh well. There'll probably be needlessly long highlights later on. I'll watch those if I can be arsed.
-
just got back in, seen from about 80 minutes onwards. The updates I got on my phone made it sound out to be a bit of a bore. Has it been?

Wiki'd him 'cos I didn't know who he was and found

aww. Has he moved from West Jesmond? He was renting a place over the road from my flatmates boyfriend while he was on loan at the mackems. Could have got him to ask, and that would've pushed my ITK up!
