  1. hahaha "Julio Arca's mate". And to carry on the mackem link, Tore Andre Flo. Somewhere between £8-10m and 4 goals. I know we've had some shite signings, but its always good to divert the attention.
  2. Only Ashley, Mort and Keegan would have been at the meeting if it was for a bollocking, not the other 3 who attended. The people who were at the meeting points to it being about transfers and nothing else. I thought that too, but there are people on here who were wary that KK was going down to that London to get a bollocking.
  3. They still carry the same beliefs as Keegan. Regardless of how old they are, if thats his honest opinion, he should have been backing Keegan up at the meeting today, should Ashley have raised the issue.
  4. I regularly tell a mackem mate I think he was the best player they ever had. But he then snaps back, "Stephane Guivarc'h".
  5. Mort quotes borrowed from .com "We don't want to do a Leeds. It doesn't make sense. "This club had £100million-worth of debt which has now been cleared and it would be foolish to stretch it beyond its limits. "I thought Kevin's comments were quite sensible. "I'm not sure what people's expectations are but I don't think most Newcastle fans would be greatly surprised by what he had to say. "There are those who are naturally optimistic but it does no harm to come out with some realism and say that if we get fifth we will have done well. He's right. "I wasn't taken aback by Kevin's comments. He says what he feels. We have just come out of a relegation battle so you can't have people surprised when the manager says we aren't going to get into the Champions League. "This is a long-term building project and we are very happy with Kevin. He's a very enthusiastic character who has got the team playing good football. "We were disappointed to lose to Chelsea but he's got the team playing well. "We have started talking about who we will be bringing in and Kevin will have the final say. He has to have that. "We are very happy with where we are but Kevin is quite right to say we shouldn't expect Champions League football. "It's going to be tough for anyone to break into the top four. "Someone might sneak in there occasionally and there are a number of sides who will have a go but it is incredibly difficult." Brilliant. If they're his honest views, I can only feel that the meeting was to discuss transfer targets and a budget. No tellings off or owt. I hope to god the rags carry these quotes in the morning and eat their own shit.
  6. Not expensive. But whatever happened to this guy. There was loads of hype around him, and people said he had bags of potential. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sean_Dundee
  7. hasnt he ben released? dunno. I went on wiki to check the fee and found this....
  8. The one that always gets me is Gaizka Mendieta. A man that once cost Lazio €48m is now rotting in Boro reserves.
  9. Curbishley been on SSN calling a bid from the mackems for Carlton Cole "nonsense".
  10. yup. Here's the table in full http://www.premierleague.com/page/FairPlayTable/0,,12306,00.html
  11. and finally, ladies and gentlemen, what we've been waiting for. The Ronny's take. "Keegan: I’ll always tell it like it is" - http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/nufc/newcastle-united-news/2008/05/09/keegan-i-ll-always-tell-it-like-it-is-72703-20885686/
  12. Probably having a roll about in Ashley's cash. http://babble.com/CS/blogs/strollerderby/2007/12/01-07/mcduck.jpg always wanted to do that tbh.
  13. I wonder how far in they are at the present time. Have they started? Is it all done and dusted? Are they in the middle of a heated discussion about a certain player? Are they having lunch? Was lunch even on the agenda? Who knows....
  14. someone correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't he from somewhere in the north-east?
  15. seen as though most of the papers are writing about this, I thought I'd put links to most of the papers' articles in one thread to make it easier. Mods, delete it if need be. 16. this is where FM meets reality. On my game he wouldn't fuck off to Wolves when I transfer listed him, so I just kept fining him 4 weeks wages for no reason until he became so unhappy he went. I propose this is what we do now. Big fucking wimp. Obviously doesn't give a toss about playing football, just getting money. Because as long as he's here he won't/shouldn't get anywhere near the SJP pitch.
  17. Why on earth did they offer a 30 year old a four year contract on that money?! Obviously the only way they'd get him to go there.
  18. West Ham are now offering Ljungberg £3m to tear up his contract in order to cut wages! http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/article3890259.ece
  19. To the tune of "I Love Rock & Roll" by Joan Jett.. "Carr loves sausage rolls, he goes to Gregg's and eats 10 a day." More of a chant than a poem. Alas, If only we'd sung that as a piss-take when he played.
  20. Is for us. No its not. Chris Mcmenemy used to go to all these sort of tournements. Paul Montgomery like wise. We signed Krul from the last tournement wasn't Krul not playing for us when he went to the U17 World Cup? Or are you on about the last U17 European Championships?
  21. Did they point him out, or was it a special feature about him? What does he even look like? http://www.nufc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10278~1230715,00.html on the left.
  22. read this instead. http://www.journallive.co.uk/nufc/newcastle-united-news/2008/05/07/we-will-bring-in-big-names-61634-20871624/
  23. ABSOLUTELY OUT OF THE QUESTION! "Newcastle boss Kevin Keegan on the brink as he goes to war with Wise and Ashley over transfer targets" http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/sport/football.html?in_article_id=564438&in_page_id=1779&ct=5 fucking hell. Today, please, no-one go out and actually buy any of the rags.
