  1. Meh. I've paid it. Nowt else to spend my money on. It's not bad given Now TV want a tenner for a SkySports day pass.
  2. I've been to watch Hertha (only because they were at home when we went, Union were away) and it wasn't great tbh. They (unsurprisingly) don't fill the Olympiastadion, which is a trek to get to and doesn't have much nearby. Looking in, Union seem way cooler. Any ground with a running track gets an instant zero for me. I've been to the San Paolo in Naples. That does too, but there's a certain charm in how utterly basic and run down it is.

  4. Buckled. The club hierarchy have actually become RTG.
  5. Had to catch up on a few pages. Why does EVERY thread on this forum revert back to anecdotes or discussions about shitting?
  6. Maximo Park lead singer. Buys his stage trilbies off Almiron iirc so pretty well linked. I thought he was that fashion designer who loves stripey patterns?
  7. Skysports uploaded this today - 15 years tomorrow. Never forget how mental Stuart Pearce was to do this.
  8. Does she want the cod and chips wrapping together or separately? Also, what non-mainstream pop is she getting with it?
  9. I got the maroon and and blue away top passport cover as a stocking filler. Asked where it came from and was told that site.
  10. There was another club shop one. Ferdinand booting the ball off a wall and it knocking a picture off the wall in Keegan's office.
  11. This is up there with the suggestion of shortening the halves.
  12. Seen a few things about "the Motherwell keeper" - didn't realise it's Mark Gillespie! Watched him a fair bit when I lived in Carlisle. Unless he's improved significantly, his kicking was absolutely shite. Can't ever see how he'd fit in above Darlow or Woodman - unless we'd send the latter out again and replace Blob.
  13. I've often thought that about some of Beardsley's goals, watching them back. He's at walking pace, shuffling his feet and totally bamboozling defenders. "Peter Beardsley - Newcastle Nostalgia" on Youtube, 12 seconds in against Villa being a prime example
  14. I've "been" Dortmund since their '97 CL run. By that I mean JJB down the Team Valley had their neon yellow shirts and shorts, which me mam bought me (and I've since re-bought in an adult size). I did that flowchart and got Gladbach. I've been to watch Hertha. Can't say I'm overly fussed. I also have a Hansa Rostock top for reasons I cba to explain. But they're in the Bundesliga 3 and I've since found out they're right-wing. So nah. EDIT: Also realised I got a pair of Werder Bremen shorts on the cheap from ClassicFootballShirts for the gym.
  15. Feels like they know the writing is on the wall, they are just trying to drag it out as much as possible. Tbf, it might cause another delay of a week or so, in which case they'll probably think that's some sort of victory. Feel like we are at a wedding and the vicar has said 'If anyone knows of any reason why these two should not be lawfully married, let them speak now' and the bride and grooms ex's stand up. Brides ex: 'She shagged me 2 years before she got with him' Vicar: 'No' Grooms ex: 'He cheated on me' Vicar: 'No' Brides ex: 'She sucked off my mate' Vicar: 'No' Brides ex 'She shagged my dad' Vicar: 'For-goodness sake, no, shut up' MORE GOLD!
  16. I'm guessing there must be a cut off point, too? Otherwise Bein/Qatar could continue sending stuff over until the end of time.
  17. Lee Hurst, man. Areet then, a total fucking arsehole now.
  18. Bit of a random choice too. Sunderland is twinned with Essen, meaning if they wanted the nearest Bundesliga team it would be Schalke. Who are in Gelsenkirchen. Which is "twinned" with...
  19. It's an age thing, really. I know a bloke in his early 60s who is a mackem and will openly admit when he was younger, he'd often go to SJP when they were away and his mates who supported us would go to Roker Park when we were away. He said it was the done thing. I'm fairly certain there's people on here who have mentioned it before as being fairly common. Fans on either side would be aghast if you admitted doing it now. Likewise my mackem mates are sound - but that's because I've known most of them at least 20 years. We've also all mellowed out as we've got older. That's not to say there are fans on either side, most likely at the younger end, who absolutely despite the other half.
