  1. The one we don't mention by (user)name is jizzing in his pants with rumours
  2. Trying to be one of the few positive-minded here. Although we are use to being lied to, the club have shown this summer they can sign players rapidly, without anyone knowing.
  3. To Modibo Maiga of Sochaux till something actually happens
  4. I'm confident we will bring in a LB and a striker, and possibly even a loanee. Without anything we are starring a relegation when players get injured.
  5. Might as well change the thread-title until something actually happens (other than us being reported for tapping).
  6. In between all the moaning, there might come something good out of it. With JB's wages of the pay-roll we might be able to (hold yer horses) up our bid for Pieter or Aly. Remains to see though.
  7. MY guess, the same as Silva.... 9,5 mill, tops 10,5 (the same as Malouda).
  8. Change thread-title to: Joey "Will come in your face" Barton, according to Phillipe Senderos.
  9. I did it. I fucking did it. I use my wildcard. This could either prove to be incredibly smart or incredibly stupid. I switch to a far more attacking side.
  10. Seriously considering playing my wildcard now after this shitty weekend. It's a dilemma.
  11. meaning? Sell him? Think he cost me 8.0.
  12. No. A good outcome for you would be a clean sheet - which would get you 4 points more than you'd get from whoever you currently have. Unless you think he'll score or get an assist, there's no value in it. A bad outcome is that Bolton score. They're pretty good going forward. I have Huth, Kompany, Cahill and Baines in there now + Hangeland.
  13. Consider getting Enrique in for 5.0 mill taking a -4 point punishment, is it worth it, or should I wait till next round? (have already used my free sub)

  15. Former Liverpool target Aly Cissokho lined up by Newcastle Newcastle have targeted West Brom left-back Nicky Shorey, Toulouse’s Cheikh M’Bengue and Lyon’s Aly Cissoko after talks stalled to sign Erik Peters from PSV Eindhoven. Targets: Pardew wants to kick-off spending spree (Getty Images) Magpies boss Alan Pardew still wants Sochaux striker Modibo Maiga. The ambitious boss knows he’s under pressure to splash the cash following the sales of Jose Enrique and Andy Carroll, who both left to join Liverpool for a combined £41million this year. Now one of Shorey, M’Bengue or Cissokho is earmarked to replace the Spaniard, while Maiga is wanted to add extra firepower to the Toon’s line-up. Newcastle edged out a 1-0 win over their north-east rivals Sunderland at the weekend with temporary left-back Ryan Taylor netting the winner. The former Wigan defender was only in the team due to no replacement for Enrique yet being found, and despite Pardew’s claims to the contrary, is likely to be ousted if a big-money alternative is signed. ‘We are trying to bring in another left-back, but he will have to be a good one to take Ryan out of the team,’ said the manager. http://www.metro.co.uk/sport/football/873053-former-liverpool-target-aly-cissokho-lined-up-by-newcastle?

robboma3 Mark Robinson by cwarr07 After a summer of rebuilding, Steve Bruce was asked how far he was away from a good side, he said ... 13 miles!
  17. Not really rumours, but nevertheless..... http://nothingbutnewcastle.com/2011/08/blogs/tottenham-clearout-to-have-newcastle-on-alert
  18. Santon would fit the bill age and ability wise. Would push Simpson and the new LB. Not likely to be too expensive either right? Not sure how much Inter are asking. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Santon held in high regard under Benitez?

    Sunderland...

Agreed. We were lucky today. They played well first half but I definitely wouldn't say we were lucky. Krul's only had to make a couple of standard saves from distance. Yes, they did well first half, and looked like the side to come out on top. Sessegnon was easily their best player, and they should have started with Gardner. Apart from the FK we offered very little upfront. Gosling actually missed an amazing chance. We defended well and looked good at passing (compared to previous seasons). But we really struggled in the final third. Also we were lucky with Raylor today, soing his job at LB. As opposed to others on here, I like how we made few changes to the starting XI and stuck with it for the entire match (almost). With a new striker and a LB we are good to go.
