Anwayssssssss..... I'm still one of those so-called supporters of Kevin Keegan.... and looking at these threads seeing what it all has come down to it's just sad. People analyzing, going back and forth... it's just sad to see where we're at. Of course there a lot of pros and cons about Kevin Keegan, like there is with a lot things... I'm a bit disappointed that he sued the club, but I choose to believe he sued Ashley instead... call me naive, but I really think he cares deeply about Newcastle, an this was just to get one back at Ashley. In my opinion (and I respect that some of you don't share the same opinion) Kevin Keegan is an honest man, and whenever he's has managed Newcastle I've felt safe, filled with happiness, joy and optimisme, and I do hope he returns (and I do expect for some of you to disagree, and that's fine). I'm glad we can put this whole thing behind us now, and that they have settle for "only" £2 million. Hopefully this being done will attract some buyers.

imo, yes! I don't see any wrong in staying positive that it might be a takeover on monday. I've been excited, had my ups and downs all the summer, so I can hang on till Monday, no problem. And I think everybody should, even the realists, critics and pessimists, cause there no need or point in suffering and throwing away a good, relaxing weekend! Edit: and there no need predicting anything, we've all seen how accurate predictions and IKTs are

Can't understand all this negative hype over Duff's departure tbh. He never turned out to be the player we thought he would, and at the very best, he showed some good fightning spirit at the end of the last season when everybody else did nothing. Other than that I think we got a very good price for him, and on top of that it's speculated that he earned anywhere between £50,000-£75,000 which he simply didn't deserve. Of course we have to replace him, like we have to replace and add a lot more players, but I don't think it will be that hard. As soon as the take over is completed and we have a manager, things look a lot brighter. Now I just wish we could go on and sell Butt and Geremi while we're at it, however, I realise that is wishful thinking.

I know this is the wrong thread to bring up general transfer talk. But, you got a fair point. I'd also like to add that I'd rather have us sell players like Geremi, or Smith, for that matter. Since, the way I see, we only sell ow to cut wages. And then I rather see us getting rid of the deadwood. You know, there two types of silent players at the club, the ones who's truely loyal and caring, and the type that's just happy to get their cheque raised every week. We should be getting rid of the latter.

f***ing right! We need a Campbell - Taylor defense at least, let's say if both Colo and Taylor leave then what the hell do we do? I think we should delay any decisions concerning any offers for our players at the moment. If the supposed takeover is going through this coming week, I believe things will change for the better. Then again, I know as little as anybody else (except for Thomo) about what's happening behind the scenes. If Moat and his American gang is taking over and appointing a manager soon, I can't see how selling our best players are going to help us. I understand we need to sell some to knock the wages down, but come on. What they are doing now is sick.
