  1. I think Diego is probably better but i think Van der Vaart would adapt better Agree on that one. I see Diego as more of a risk. But I havn't really seen enough of them to decide... Well, Diego was able to adapt from the brazilian league to the bundesliga, so he can't be that much of a gamble.
  2. Eh? Think he's refering to the arsenal goal.. ...what about the reward? Think he' refering to the irony in putting him on the bench after playing well (in his opinion) and scoring a goal, is a funny way to reward someone. I must have missed it when he was put on the bench. He hasn't been, yet... People (including Steve69) are just saying might he be and steve is presenting an argument for why he shouldn't! What's the point of what the geezer has posted? It makes no sense at all. The fact is, Taylor isn't in danger of being dropped "after playing well and scoring a goal." He's lost his place due to injury, which is very different. True, I'll stop trying to defend him now..
  3. Thought that might be it, I just remembered it as being a long pass.. My bad.
  4. This might explain a few things as to how the big man views the players... No wonder Viduka's on the bench if Sam thought he was the playing s*** as a right midfielder. Thought someone would comment this... Seems I'm the only one who thought it was funny. Forget it, probably just me being messed up... : Do you find your own avatar and sig to be particularly funny, or clever for that matter? If so we may have found the root of the problem. I just like the movie.. So I thought I'd use the cover as an avatar. And I like the idea of Travis Bickle being a Toon fan. Same thing with the sig, that scene is one of the most powerful showings of a complete rejection, so thought it would be quite funny with Babayaro in that scene calling Big Sam.. The avatar is not very funny, a little clever perhaps, and very essentric certainly.. Maybe that's the problem

  7. 7 points seems like a good return from those four games IMO

  9. Was going to put it in the Tozer thread but thought i would put it as seperate so people who dont know about it can read it. Fair enough... I do like his quotes and we certainly could use a versatile defender for the future.
  10. hasn't this already been mentioned in a couple of threads?

  13. We'd have to win by 5 goals, while Villa loses by 5... Would be quite a round
  14. This might explain a few things as to how the big man views the players... No wonder Viduka's on the bench if Sam thought he was the playing shit as a right midfielder.
  15. Guess Owen won't be ready... http://www.nufc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10278~1192995,00.html Well, we'll just have to rely on getting a penalty again, seems we're on a roll.
  16. Both sensible. Well maybe Ashley can have a word with Blatter about the 4-4-3 just in time for the game? Agree with the line ups in principle. Smith should NEVER EVER play in midfield again!!
  17. Derby - Win Wigan - Win Chelsea - Win Man City - Win And so on... I've got a gut feeling.
  18. Shouldn't Owen be ready for this match? If he is I'd start him instead of Martins, as he is our most reliable goalscorer and we should be able to create some chances. Chances+Owen=Goals... Don't know if I added that right, my math isn't the best. I'd also love to see Faye in this game, to beat the hell out of Miller for making us the laughing stock in the league with his wonderstrike.
  19. I get carried away.! You can't argue that them playing in the same side creates a great attacking synergy (Milner being the rightfooted winger playing on the left and Zog a natural winger coming from the back), that we wouldn't have if they played different sides and since Enrique probably isn't fit yet it's also our only option now that Babayaro is gone.
  20. Give me too much, give me some Mort
  21. I don't get all the people saying they want enrique at left back, Charlie up and milner right (at least for this game).. The left side against birmingham was amazing, Milner and Zog attacking, overlapping, taking turns in going through middle and down the line, Birm simply didn't know what to do against it and it created almost all of the momentum we had going for us. Plus I don't think Big Sam is as daft as to buy a highly regarded spanish player for multi millions and just put him in the game too quickly or keep him out the side entirely for no good reason, that would be calling Sam names he doesn't deserve just yet (Souness, Roeder anybody?) I'm all for Jose becoming our first choice left back pretty soon just not at the moment, and I'm fairly confident Big Sam thinks so too and that he'll be a terrific player for us. That being said, I think we'll play the same side, with Faye instead of one of the CB's, if he's fit.
  22. Great game this, though I was already blaming our attackers for not getting the win, they kept getting fantastic crosses and chances but showed really no aggressiveness or lust to get that vital goal, we actually needed Owen very much in this game. MoM: our left side, Milner and Zog were simply magnificent
  23. 7th I think that's realistic (or maybe it's just because I'm listening to Beleive by Chemical Brothers), but we'll finish the season there just you wait.. I'll be satisfied as long as we finish above West Ham (betted 50£ with a friend who's a West Ham fan)
