D.Mail says D.Mirror says Eriksson thinks he's getting Owen for £8m
NoU replied to Mags Serbia's topic in Football
If it does happen, not saying I would love it, but it could happen. Then I hope we have Anelka lined up as a replacement, would be a fantastic signing imo and it wouldn't be an impossible signing. And though he would cost a bit more we could actually end up making money if you include salaries. -
We don't score our second til after 30 minutes? Well f*** that then, bunch of useless bastards. Allardyce out. And we then let them straight back into it! Then have to wait until the 52ND MINUTE to become comfortable again. Unacceptable tbh. Sorry I'm such pessimist, I just don't beleive we'll do any better with the current team and management.

Don't worry guys as soon as Owen gets back as we all now of his defensive capabilities, I think we should try him on the left back and move Zog to the right and Beye in the middle. Then Milner can stay on the left with geremi or smith on the right. Problem solved guys

I always liked that Smith fellow

Great game, great game, it was just a ... great game. Felt like shakin' stevens the last couple of minutes. What a great performance, we really deserved that draw.

Beye f****** deserved that booking, letting me worry he was injured..

Big Sam's gameplan and selection is spot on tbh The only reason their in front is that they have a superior side.. the second half, come on lads
-
Oh, and the answer to the question.. I think he will be given 'bout 10 mil.. and that should be adequate. Don't think anymore would be sensible, given it's the january window and we're not facing a relegation battle or anything..
-
I just don't get it. It seems when it's discussed almost everyone agree that Sam should be given proper time and support, and if there's one thing we ought to have learned from being Newcastle supporters, it's that sacking managers (and getting new overpriced mercenaries) in times of crisis just isn't the answer. But then when there isn't someone smacking sense into people's heads, their primal instincts take over and they call for blood. Fucking hell. Savage simpletons everyone (myself including).

Being a Newcastle fan is a perfectly good excuse for being an alcoholic.

What a great first half. It's really refreshing watching us play this way, although quite ironic our solitary goal comes from a long ball. It seems we've got the players to play this kind of game, though it's clear they don't know each other through and through so they are liable to lose the ball after 'bout 5 passes. Hope that doesn't get us in the second half. All in all a great game, Owen and Martins are fighting up front, it really seems that they want to show that they can work together. Butt, Geremi and Zog is controlling the midfield. Defence looking solid. But best of all Jenas is looking like a kid coming in from the Conference his throughballs are just making me laugh mackems.gif

Yep.. It'd work, at least against inferior sides, still I think we'll be using a three man midfield.. So throw some Geremi into the mix and we've got ourselves a winning combination imo.. Especially with Zog/Owen/Martins/Viduka/Smith/Milner fighting for a place in the front three.
-
Well, a deserved win for city.. Petrov MoM A great game to watch though, and we did play some decent football a couple of times. I'm looking forward to the players getting a better feeling of each other + Barton coming back.
-
Nice that we've got rid of Harper's half an hour goalkicks when we're behind.. 2-4
-
Fuck Petrov fucking fuck!!
-
Geremi And in a three man midfield I'd use emre too, think he would function very well in that kind of midfield, with barton in front of him and geremi just beside him.

Yup, far better to leave that to a lawyer. It is actually, because that lawyer is an employee, which means he has to do what he thinks is best for the club or for making money or both. But he can't just go around buying x player and firing y manager because of how he feels about them, like Shepherd and Abramovich.
-
I like this bit: The owner should never be as involved in the signing of players as Abramovich (or FS for that matter, though he tecnically wasn't the owner). We payed for it and Chelsea is paying right now. Still I'm not entirely sure if Mike and Mort isn't just playing a businessman's charade...

EDIT: sorry that had already been posted
