  1. First of all I would like to say that I really have enjoyed watching ben arfa playing for us. Some of his goals/assists for us have been awesome and amongst few highlights in recent years. He came to the club under the wrong manager...although I think they had a good relationship in the first couple of seasons (first he hardly played). I also think pardew was right in trying to develop the more defensive side of his game but somewhere it went wrong. Pardews tactics and way of using/not using ben arfa was a catastrophe - but Im still a bit confused? How is Ben arfas personality/professionalism? Had his injuries but have seemed rather overweight at some points? Is he respected by his teammates and does he respect them? Know he have had his problems earlier in his career - so if someone (objective) could give his opinion i would appreciate it? My personal conclusion is: Pardew is a limited manager who did not succeed in integrating the most gifted player we had here for years (maybe ever had). Also that Ben arfa professionalism could have been better - especially his fitness!

    Starting XI

Why him? I might have missed something regarding Santon. But i still see him as our best LB option. Still plenty of room for developing further... You prefer dummet, haidara or Ryan T.?

    Starting XI

My preferred line up atm. (a fit and wanted ben arfa would naturally be in there. Maybe cisse too) krul Janmaat Yanga Colo Santon Tiote Anita Sissoko De Jong Cabella Riviere or Ferreyra
  4. Just saying he isn´t the most difficult player to replace with quality and making a profit at the same time...
  5. Anything that puts the blobster any closer to playing first team games is an abysmal idea. Go hang your head in shame. jesus, some people just wanna misunderstand and be negative
  6. If high offer comes for Krul we should sell imo. Keepers always seems easy to replace with (old) experienced keepers or young ones with potential (like Krul) Before last season i hoped or would´t have minded selling Krul for the right price and for example had him replaced with Cesar. Would have been good business and then have had a promising keeper as back up.
  7. he knows how to put pressure on him self (and the players) CL challenge no - but top 6-7 should be our goal.
  8. looks interesting - might lack a bit of space - only negative from what i have seen. Remy next

    Loïc Remy

    signing remy would be awesome.
  10. tbf i think they are trying to sign a quality forward. We are not done yet - big questions concerning Yanga and arfa...Both needs to be replaced. Been massively wrong and disappointed more than ones in recent years Maybe pardew unfortunately prefers sissoko on RW which could be the reasons for the interest in CM Grenier
  11. I agree basically, but on the other hand our youth development has been non-existent for almost all the time I have followed NUFC. true, its pathetic. A disgrace actually.
  12. swap deal - but does not sound like our Lyon targets seems interested in NUFC....
  13. not going to happen, but he would be ideal as he can play both on top and RW. If ben arfa is history i really think we could use more quality on the flanks. Hopefully Yanga stays. Could live with our currents CBs and do business in january if needed. Prefer a good winger and a striker.
  14. we all remember his fantastic start to last season
  15. 1st. i do not expect to see area starting for us again. 2nd. I could see it work with for example tiote and sissoko protecting the defends. 3. thats our best defends. How would you like to have it?
  16. true. Im really excited about Cabella.
  17. get it sorted pardew! imaging this: Quality striker Cabella De jong Arfa (colback, anita, tiote, sissoko) Santon Colo Yanga Janmaat Krul That would be awesome.
  18. Think so too. CF, CB and LB could be much better. Hope Anita over Colback but doubt the King agrees. our left side looks bad defensively.
  19. Why on earth would he be available for as little as 4m? Even if his contract is winding down. 29, Club captain and great work cup showings. Double that for starters. http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/aston-villa-transfer-news-ron-7441054 Okore Shame he got injured - watch him shine when fit
  20. It's better than just selling a player and not replacing him, which is what we've come to expect. Absolutely, I'm not arguing with that. Just people seem to be genuinely happy that Ashley has profited from a transfer situation. objective. its always good to make a profit and the replacement looks like he could be as good as debuchy or even better? 4 years younger and Debuchy wanted to leave. So no matter how much i dislike our regime it´s impossible for me to find anything negative here. The profit might be spent on a new striker, winger or cb.
  21. i only know the answer for question 1
  22. "arfa" You realise Ben isn't his first name, right? i do not understand? hatem ben arfa? help me I'm happy to help you... Hatem is the chaps FIRST NAME. His surname is BEN ARFA. Ergo, his name, if named on the subs bench in your proposed formation, should be Ben Arfa, not Arfa. Pretty trivial of me to point it out really but my work ethic is quite low today. well - you must be pretty bored at work. I'm just to lazy to write his whole name (and I'm sure i didn´t confuse anyone)
