Well, Nice result bad opponent. Really good to see pardew going with 4-3-3...hope it continues. Tiote, Anita, cabaye can do the job....bigi and Jonas, perch and gosling as subs. Ferguson and probably ba and obertan Can play lw....bur prefer a good signing for the position. Obertan played well and showed how he can be used. Still Bordeaux were really poor. But glad to see him doing well, i have been hard ón him lately. Nice we kept possesion and the Ball ón the deck...we should really develop this style and formation....we have the players suited for it. Happy for fergusons assist, what a great goal by cisse. Think both showed something against man u...espcially gosling. Rather start vuckic than shola....Even though vuckic hasnt impressed me much yet. either santon, arfa, jonas simpson etc. are not natural crossers. we lack good crossers operating on the flanks especially with both cisse and ba in the box. arfa is crossing that well from RW, offers something different. Maybe a good left footed LW with crossing skills would make us much dangerous and unpredictable? WOuld like to see ferguson some more.

our defence second half: tarvernier perch wiiliamson santon need quality. A strong cb who can cover LB or RB is needed. would be good not always moving anita around. let him focus on CM. tarvernier still need enough games to develop though. would prefer competition/cover for santon. just get Mbiwa....heard he can cover most postions in defence. then also perch can focus more on cm. maybe gosling out on loan and bigi didnt have to start yet.

walcott: 11 goals and 10 assist last year. he is developing his game all the time and doing things obertan would only dream about. they are same age.

pointless long length of a contract, maybe? for me it signals that the club have the man they want + backroom staff. Its the right plan i think and goes hand in hand with ashleys long term strategy. It will take time to build a strong club that can challenge for top 4 every year, if you dont have the same money as city and chelsea etc. the only negative i can think of is that we play a bit boring sometimes, but im sure it all get better and better from here, if we can keep the quality of the squad at this level or higher. With great players you get great football no matter silly tactics. if we can keep our profiles for at least another year + adding quality in january and in the summer then things could be very interesting. I also think the reason we didnt get more quality this summer was because right deal wasnt there and we are ahead of the clubs plan. could see us make a quality signing ala cisse this winter...maybe debuchy, if lille goes out of the CL and tavernier doesn´t keep playing like he did yesterday. Pardew needs to improve in some aspecs like everybody else, but what i really like about him is that seems to keep the players motivated and fighting for each other. That is hugely important imo.

Irrelevant, people are giving opinions on his form at the club so far. I know, but I don't see how current form is irrelevant. He's shown more so far in the few chances he's had This season than some of the players people are clamouring for getting the chances he's had, i.e. the likes of Sammy, Vuckic, Marveaux. I'm not sure what you're on about here like. His 'current form' is trash, same as his form since he's been here. He offers nothing but slowing the game down, making wrong decisions and failing to get a decent cross in on the odd occasion that he does manage to get past a full back. Shane Ferguson came on and did in 30 seconds what Obertan couldnt do for 90 minutes. Saying he's shown more this season than those three doesn't carry much weight at all imo, Sammy's barely played, Vuckic plays in a different position and Marveaux's had one s*** 45 and very little else in the league. Above all that it's not just recent form that we've got to go on with Obertan, he's looked f***ing hopeless from day one with 1 or 2 exceptions to the rule. this. im normally not that hard on our players (i think) but this has to stop. fair enough if pardew seems him as 3rd choice or something, but if our goal is to finish in top 4, he must go. Can´t think of others clubs at our level where you would get so many chances. If only you could see a small improvement from game to game....personally i can´t any from his first game for us until now?

He played a lot of matches for us last season without producing anything. If our aim is top 4 then obertan needs to go down the picking order. He shouldnt even be on the bench for important matches. frustrating thing is he doesnt even know how to make advantage of his speed....coz everytime he comes near the box (or facing an opponent) he stops up! could he just be like rommedahl for example. Not a great player....but his speed is his main weapon and he knows how to cross. Obertan could be like that imo. should focus training on: -timing his runs down the flank - knocking the ball past defenders (no dribbling) - crossing - NEVER STOP UP WHEN FACING AN OPPONENT. If Pardew cant see this he is a fool. Obertan is not first choice, but if he got the right training and a loan im sure he could improve. Get some confidence in another league.

a few thoughts. - forgot how frustrating shola can be. prefer him as super sub. - Gabby is crab...im mean really crap. sorry, but it is the truth! - Tavernier i really liked. - Gosling was ok...got into good positions. - cisse and fergu -supersubs! a left footed player on the left and BOOOM! hope to see him more, backup for santon but can also be used on LW. - marveaux, dissapointed me. mostly that he lacked speed and didn´t challenge their right side more. elliot - some good saves.

not good enough, sorry to say it! he shows signs but everytime it falls apart! think we should sell if possible even though we have a small squad. 1 assist and 1 goal in 30 matches or something like that. and he is best going forward
