I have absolutely no problem him being first choice this season along with colo. I wouldn´t mind a new cb to compete with him and williamson...an upgrade on williamson though. like he seems professional and he is practicing his leadership abilities.

still think and HOPE (coz i really like jonas) that he will be involved alot. probably off the bench...getting hard to see him as a starting player when everybody is fit. but he offers so much both defensive and attacking. Should get alot of time on the pitch.

Obertan is only 23 to be fair. Not exactly old. didn´t say he was. but cant see him develop into anything special. he is missing so many things in his game that i dont believe in him. if not selling then loan him out for 2 seasons. not good enough now to get many minutes imo. rather we found someone else tbh

as a dane laudrup might be my all time favorite...but as a manager im not sure he is that good. swansea will be a big challenge for him. I would like us to sell obertan no matter what coz he will never step up and become a starting player for us. Would rather try something young and new as arfa´s cover. Swansea will probably be good for him....but im afraid laudrup will fail.

what position is his best? LM/LW. that would great coz we good do with more quality there. he can also play cm?

its a nasty time each year. personally i cant wait to the opening game against spurs. So very positive no one of real importances has left....huge achivement we shouldn´t forget. but that said....we still need good RB, CB, (CM), Striker. We need that 4th choice striker and we could use a LM/LW. Jonas, ba, fergie, amalfitano, sammy....is that our options?

both him and Fergie have missed much of pre-season....not ideal when they should be pushing on. Pardews words. hopefully they will pick up form soon....2 players i hope to see much more this season, especially in europe and the cups

if a player is proven and can improve our team from day one it is ok to pay full price. im sure lille will stand firm on their asking price. we got cabaye cheap, they probably wont let debuchy go cheap as well....wrong signals! pay up Mike and give them that little more they are asking as compensation for the brilliant cabaye buy, then they are more willing to do business with us in the future.....seems like a good place to look for players. 2-3 mill for simpson and the deal doesn´t seem that bad, mike.

that is a pathetic offer if true. 6 mill euros is nothing for a really good rb (only seen him at the euros). Sell on fee 20%. smart mike, but it wont happen. if worth 6mill now...what will he be worth in 3 years time when his best years are behind him. Accept there probably isnt much resale value on this lad. offer what they want (8 mill euro should be enough). give him 5 years and we will have RB position sorted for the next many years. I find it a bit strange he isnt really linked with other clubs when you think of his valuation? anyway get him in (at all costs asap) Problem could be: Pardew also want good new players at CB, DCM, ATT. all we have been linked with is expensive. if we are to believe the interest in carroll, anita and douglas + debuchy, when we are spending a lot of money for ashley standards. maybe simpson could bring in something + best, smith, løvenkrands, guthrie gone. August will be interesting. Dont think we will see any key players leave which is very positive (fingers crossed) imagine pardew adding the mentioned targets. then our square would probably be the best ever. The right quality and competition in every position + good back up/talents to play in the EL & cups. Seems like a balanced squad.

I would like him back. He offers something else...that header at the euros...not many can do that. Doesn't need time to settle. Loves the club and properly didnt wanted to leave in the first place. He will be good to partner both ba & cisse + we need min. 3 top strikers to compete. He is proven and only concern is the long Ball tactics imo
