In the City game, the ball dropped(incidentally)to him and he showed some lovely bit of control and pass it out to Bruno and Martinez and score the winner. Cool. BUT when you’re in possession and your three centrebacks are passing the ball around to each other, this man will NEVER step outside of his comfort zone to show for the ball. It’s just the type of player I really don’t like. Glad you have him.

How about this for a stat, in the 100 or so league games he’s played in Europe, he’s never scored a goal. That’s Vurnon Anita Gavin McCann levels of nothingness. That’s who’ve you’ve signed.

Ugarte - unreal? I’m telling you, that guy is your Vurnon Anita. Boxes himself into positions where he can’t receive the ball and never ever shows for it. Compare him to someone like Lavia for instance who always wants the ball, Skelly for Arsenal yesterday hopping backwards with his eyes on the ball and play at all times. I watched him closely during Copa America, he’s a nothing player. I think he said it himself, he’s there to win the ball back. Offers nothing in possession so the three center back just pass it around to themselves and Ugarte runs further and further away from the ball. Don’t think he’s Kante, he ain’t Kante. I watched him in the Forest game. Infuriating. He did get some what of an assist but only when the ball was played into him first time. He didn’t know what was going. He avoids all responsibility. Gibbs White on the other hand was always showing, screaming for the ball, passing and moving. My brother supports Man U so we watched the game together and I could not believe how this guy would directly place himself in between four opposing players and not even try to get out. Really weird.

Yea, fear is probably the wrong word but I think they’ll tempt him. Also, I just don’t like City and it may be going wrong right now, but at some point they will splash the cash and become a juggernaut again.

If/when Pep leaves at some point, my money is on Arteta to replace him. Came through the City managerial system, Pep’s good friend, and got Arsenal back in the top four. Based on what City did when they first got the money and cleared Arsenal out, I fear they could take Saka, too.
