He's the best of a bad bunch IMO. I liked his calmness on the ball. Checked his WC record and it wasn't as good as I expected. Didn't play in any of the group stage games and then came off th bench in the 80 something minute in the second round and then the 85 mins in the QF. Think this was a good signing. Don’t rate Yedlin(remember that Willian goal?) and Manquillo is strictly a defender. Think this’ll prove to be a good one in the long run. I like this guy’s size, the fact that he basically has an assist(Schar - Watford) and had the balls to find himself in the box vs Norwich and get a shot off. Played 85 minutes in a World Cup quarter final. How many times does Yedlin just float a ball into the box? Rarely. He needs it to be played to him while he’s running on to it and then chip it in from the byline. This guy’ll just put them in from wherever he’s at. I’d rather that. Carroll and Joelinton will too I’m sure.

I mean he did put the ball in to the box for Hayden, Joelinton and Schar to attack and then score from... Also had that shot against Norwich just outside the six yard box that probably should have been on target. Think he’s alright tbh.

Man, great point. In the long run it could hurt the team on the whole. Didn't even think about it from that point of view. Salah’s probably going to be top scorer in that team anyway. He frustrates me at times. Shooting from ridiculous angles, ignoring teammates. It’s great when it works but infuriating when it doesn’t. I’m sure they’ll work things out before our game.

Scrappy game. We were well on top of them in the second half and had some good opportunities to win the game. I’m trying to give Almiron the benefit of the doubt but he annoyed me today. Either way, he should always be in the team as he’s a spark. Atsu was pretty good. I didn’t like his corners though. Took two of them short when we brought our entire defense up. Willems created a couple chances. He’s good at getting out of of tight spaces. Dubs made some great saves. Joelinton played really well, it’s just a shame no one could create any chances for him to get on the end of. He had to do everything by himself. May have been a half chance but wish Muto had shot a second earlier at the end of the game. Schar MOTM for the goal and just trying to make something happen. Special mention to Lascelles for that run down the left wing. Could have scored from that action.
