I remember against Everton which I think ended 2-2 where Ben Arfa recieved the ball from Krul in our penalty area and tried to take on about three players. He got dispossed but you know what he was trying to do. The balls of the lad.

tbf Gerrard will tell you that himself, I hear him say it in interviews all the time. But still he was a great player. He won a ton of trophies and scored in most of the finals. His score/assist rate is immense, too. I get that he didn't "control" games, but I don't think he was that type of player to begin with. Not until later in his career.

So pleased for him. Hope he scores a boat load. Also hope the guy starts, he's better than most of their players. Think I'll be getting a France top with his name on the back.
