  1. At least Liverpool are a real club who even to get to THIS POINT, had to go through 30 years of shit. Sure they got a couple trophies along the way but not the one they wanted and they won the UCL ffs. Liverpool to me are a REAL football club. Man City were born in 2008 and are basically a cybernetic program. It’s not real. It’s fucking Terminator. This is a blip for City, they’ll be back next year with 400 new signings selling their youth to the likes of Southampton to fund big money deals. It’s just not fair. They’ve fucked up the Premier League, something I really respected, admired. I get it, it’s capitalism but they went overboard and gave everyone else no chance.
  2. Nah they were actually ecstatic when City won four in a row six league cups in a row and all those FA Cups. Cause it’s “null and void” they loved it. Fuck newcastle might aswell support City because if we come second, who cares? Its null and void. city won and that means nothing except we dont get a trophy or anything. Null and void. Lets go city. Fuck up Arne. I was Pep to win so we can have ANOTER shit season watching City steamroll teams because “at least it’s not Liverpool” a team who sold a 150 pound player to progress their squad. That’s not how it should be done. It should be straight money, no selling, pile up the players and let them steamroll the rest of us because at least it’s not Liverpool who have been shit for 30 years and cost us a league 25 years ago in a one off game with integrity nah. City because it means nothing. What’s the point of even watching then? City for the FA cup. City for the Prem. Fuck Salah and all the work he’s done, the improvements in Gravenbergh, the new style of play. Let's go city so this season means fuck all. All abroad the city train. Hope Salah breaks his leg, TAA breaks his back and Van Dijk gets shot in the spine because City. If they win, we all win, right? fuckers.
  3. could say the same for a lot of the teams in our quadrant. Spurs probably deserved to beat us, lost, beat City, draw to Fulham. Just the way the season’s going right now everyone’s taking points off each other and it’s too early to start making snap judgements.
  4. West Ham I agree inexcusable. But Brighton, we we're all over them, they won with a sucker punch. Followed up by Gordon’s pen miss against Everton and things would be looking a whole lot more different. 19 points in the 08-09 season would have us sitting pretty in 7th. Same for 19 points in the 98/99. Who’d have thought Brentford, Forest and Fulham would hit this hot streaks? Btw in 08/09 game week 13, Hull had 21 points and finished 17th so anything can happen.
  5. The Brighton game pisses me off on reflection. We were all over them and they won with a sucker punch counter. That followed up by Gordon’s pen miss in the Everton game right after has us on less points than IMO we deserve. Plenty of games to go and we have a favorable fixture list after Liverpool makes me believe we can turn it around.
  6. Brazil are going through a rough patch at the moment and he’s labeled as one of their “ordinary players”. I’ve watched him for Brazil. Looks like he’s pretty much instructed to fetch the ball back and pass to one of their more decisive players. But he has started 80-90% of their games in the last two years. World Cups, Copas, friendlies. edit: not Word Cup, was a sub there, Fred and Paqueta were preferred.
  7. He was playing Palmer quite regularly as a sub, League Cup, stuff like that. I remember Delap getting a handful of minutes a few years ago, too.
  8. Exposed? He wasn’t allowed to refresh his squad in the summer, he’s lost a big character and our main creative base in Trippier and we’ve fluffed our lines a few times - Gordon’s penalty miss at Everton. Think we’ve been more unlucky than anything tbh.
  9. Unpopular weird opinion here for some reason. People would rather city win as it would render the season “null and void”. Yeah, doesn’t make sense to me either.
  10. This little fuck is the biggest snake going. Soon as the mega bucks came in, he said fuck us and created that Kick Off shite centered around ‘the big six’. Say what you want about that Expressions guy but week in, week out, it’s Spurs. Win, lose or draw. Spurs.
  11. I thought psycopath Pep would somehow enjoy going through this slump but he doesn't look right at all.
  12. Can’t see us getting smashed(think the closest thing to a smashing under Howe was Arsenal away last year) but can see them getting the rub of the green like they always do and win by a flukey goal. 1-1 would be a nice result.
  13. He was our main creative hub. Look very workman like without him.
  14. We’ve finished 4th and 7th. I think he knows what he’a doing.
  15. What’s up with this guy? Is he fit? Is there a rift? We need him.
  16. Weird thing is, we’re beating this Arsenal team, losing to this West Ham team. You can’t make sense of it.
  17. I thought Sandro was swinging them into good areas today but yea generally have to improve.
  18. No, I agree it is the norm but it’s also part of the process. Have to take the summer into consideration, having all this money and not being able to spend it means we can’t improve on our team.
  19. Arsenal corners are a thing of beauty.
  20. Not even questioning Eddie, don’t even come into this thread. Prem’s just very competitive at the moment and in any other season, say, game week 13 of the 98/99 season, a team would be 7th with a points total of 19. Our upcoming two months of fixtures look promising and maybe a five game win streak could shoot you up the league, which I do think this team of capable of. Whoever said, Mourinho, no. That would send up club into a tailspin. We have to look at the long term project. Eddie’s our guy and we’re supporting him all the way.
