Cash =/= Accounting loss
They can put in as much cash as they like, but only £90m over 3 years can go down as a loss on the P&L
They can still invest in capital projects (ie stadium expansion) and women’s team etc as much as they like.
The only way I’d consider selling him would be for c£125m and if we’d also got David in on a free. That money would allow us to bring in 3 quality players in the next window.
Neither of those things are going to happen though so I’d be keeping him and doing whatever I could to get him to sign a new deal.
Basically the only way I’d sell him is if we got enough to fund 2 quality strikers as a replacement. Wilson ( )will be off in the summer so we already need one in.
