  1. http://www.sundaysun.co.uk/sport/newcastle-utd/newcastle-utd-news/2010/02/14/chris-hughton-hits-back-over-sousa-accusation-79310-25832253/ Oh and as for that big haired bloke...I take it Sousa didn't see the blatant elbow on Lovelyhands earlier in the game then? Fuck off and die.
  2. Heres my thoughts. STOP FUCKING LAUNCHING THE BALL UP BYPASSING EVERY CUNT AND HIS MAN. WHEN ONE OF YOUR TEAM HAS THE BALL, RUN INTO SPACE TO RECEIVE A PASS. WHEN ONE OF YOUR TEAM HAS THE BALL, TELL HIM SOME FUCKER IS ABOUT TO TACKLE HIM. NORMALLY WARNED BY SHOUTING "MAN ON". Fucking basics. Houghton is fucking clueless. Any more performances like that and we will not get automatic promotion.
  3. I love my seat/stand in L7. Best atmosphere, crack and banter in the ground. The odd mong here and there occasionally, however its the most fun place to be to watch a game and get behind the team. I get tarred by the 'mong' brush by work colleagues and mates because I'm up with the 'shoes off' crowd and the 'blazing squad'. I simply say to them to come up to the heavens and sample the atmosphere. They still have not been and continue to mock. If only they knew. Its not that we think we are better than the rest of our supporters...well certainly the people I've spoken too anyhow. Is it so hard to want to sing and chant and support the team and genuinely wish to enjoy a match day? Is it so hard to want the rest of the ground to have the same feeling and enjoyment? It's a strange sensation. Our own fans seem to want to have a go at LC however the majority are only trying to get behind the team, and inspire the rest of the ground into some life yet rarely wish to partake. I know some people go to games to watch the football...but to remain highly muted throughout is baffling. I for one am always happy when the rest of the ground joins in. When the whole place is singing it still to this day makes the hairs on my neck stand up. I just wish it happened more than once in a blue moon. Anyhow. The crowd you get up there are a fine mix...working class, charvas, normal people, young, old, middle aged and a fair few lasses mixed in with the sweaty lads. As for singing YSIFS, it is cringe worthy as hell and I personally don't sing it. Not 'cause I don't like taunting the away fans, mainly for the fact that all of last season we'd sing it and then the other team would score. But as others have said about goading away fans. Isn't that one of the many beauties of football....it being a tribal/territorial thing being on our turf, in our city and generally getting a hard time of things. Its animalistic, but only to a point of self restraint that society has instilled on the public so that violence rarely spills over. I could rant for ages. I love my seat/standing area and as long as it remains as fun, loud and the best place to be in the ground will I stay. Or at least until the bloody stairs finish me off.
  4. Mers just been on SSN saying the scum are going mental at the performance. Comon Wigan.
  5. If you dislike people chanting then sit somewhere else, or better yet don't attend matches - you won't be missed Never understood how anyone can complain, it's not as if the LC is the only place you can get tickets, infact it's quite the opposite since it sells out for most games whilst other areas are left empty... You sound like a straight up douche to be honest. Get over yourself man. How the fuck does he sound like a douche. And more the point why the fuck are you using that word? He's 100% correct. Fuck me your not allowed to go to the game and chant an sing? If that's the case I'd better not go any more. Or go and sit in the east stand. I'm sorry like, L7 does have a fair share of charvas etc, but it's the best atmosphere in the ground and the only place in the past 5 years that generates an atmosphere. Yes that 'we don't care about ashley...' song went on for a while but it's nearly been 2 seasons in the same seat and even though the football is toss, it's good banter and a good chance to get behind the lads. If you don't like it, don't come?
  6. Agent talking shite probably to help him get more money in his pocket from a Prem club. We've all been conned.
  7. Holy shit...no way one of the more promising young players would come here. Surely not? We only sign has-beens and hangerson?
  8. Newcastle to watch the match on tv on Saturday? Never normally watch it in town, cos I'm either at the game (home) or at the local...however me n the lads are having a sesh on Sat. So then...recommendations/opinions?
  9. Cracking goal. Crofty turned to me and said in L7, 'this is a goal'. Bam...straight in.
  10. Aint seen/heard anything local based (sorry Mr Caulkin) so not too sure how true this is. Hope to christ it aint like.

  13. Well not to be ITK....however a mate of a mate's lass works at Thorpe Arch (Leeds training ground location) and she said he was on his way to us. Then again...without knowing the full details...I'm just passing on info.
  14. Don't fret, tooj, we have it on very good authority that Beckford is currently undergoing a very, very, very, very long medical at the moment at a hospital in Newcastle. Roz Harmison taking care of it then? http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/5866/rosharm.jpg Think I've just got a chubby. Anyhow, OT...more and more eminating from Leeds area that its done and dusted.
  15. Then Nik comes on and says 'Were ganna win the league man'
  16. Seriously? We can buy 2 good players with his wages. Pays for Simpson & some of the cash towards (hopefully) Killgallon.
  17. I think it means if he plays well other teams will show an interest.
