As mental as this sounds, someone told me that he'd already agree terms with Liverpool in January but had to wait until the summer. As with everything I take that sort of thing with a pinch of salt but it seems awfully coincidental he's off to them. It would explain him going missing since January anyway.

I think everyone knows it won't be renewed, Wonga arn't in a position to renew. I just hope the replacement is a betting company which will be just as bad. A couple of months ago there were rumours that NUFC were looking into bringing in the former head of Newcastle airport in order with the aim of getting him to bring in a big sponsorship deal from Emirates or United airlines which he helped bring to Newcastle airport. Pretty sure he's already here as finance director. Read today they've recruited the ex-journal chief editor as head of business development locally...to re-establish the club as a centre for local business and community. We shall see. Edit: apologies, John Irving was our finance director and is now at NCL Airport as BDD.

In a way, I'd love for him to end up somewhere like Palace. Haha.
