  1. Have you read Miguel Delanel (Chief football writer at @independent) tweets and compare his coverage of NUFC vs MUFC? Wow. One journo I reckon the media would love for this to go through, as it would create loads and loads of stories, both positive and negative ones, now and in the years to come. One example. Feel free to show us his tweets in favour of Manchester United being bought by them. BTW I did post an article written by him when they were interested in MUFC. Compare the tone of that to his tweets and articles regarding NUFC.

Feel free to show us his tweets in favour of Manchester United being bought by them. No thanks. Feel free to look through his tweets yourself and come to your own conclusion. To believe that there is not bias in the press is naive. The believe there is a complete bias is paranoid. Every reporter has their own club, their own political views. These get expressed in the articles they write.

  5. Have you read Miguel Delanel (Chief football writer at @independent) tweets and compare his coverage of NUFC vs MUFC? North East reporters have even got into tweet arguments with him on his coverage.
  6. I’m betting no comment on the takeover. Do you need an athletic subscription for this? Na. 👍🏻

  8. If Indy is not enough also listen to: (The dentist looks a decade older here than his Twitter pic😂)
  9. Boom 💥 his tweets and build up amuse me as much as plane watching and NUFC direct shop updates in the night watch.
  10. They have a good idea whether they’ll pass it though. It’s not a submit and wait kind of test...they speak with the PL regularly and supply them with everything they need and converse on any issues. If the buyers are still very confident, then that would be a sign that nothing too worrying has cropped up. or a poker face.
  11. Not suggesting this would happen or would be at all a good idea. Just burning time. What would happen if they just decided to transfer the ownership of the club without waiting for the result? Transferring ownership is a legal legal issue so the premier league can not block it. I guess they could kick us out of the league? I know this is a stupid idea and I'm not suggesting it. I'm just curious. The only reason I started thinking about it was this line - "When a club intends to appoint a new director, or complete a takeover, they must inform the Premier League at least ten working days before the director is anticipated to be appointed". We've done that right? It's not really our fault they've pissed around for 4-5 weeks.
  12. You’re not alone. Unfortunately both sides are trying to use public opinion to influence the proceedings and we are stuck right in the middle of it.
  13. Second NUFC journalist that I've seen say it's going to be a big week. Perhaps they've been briefed? Only time will tell.
  14. Putting pressure on the premier league by getting an NUFC fan site to post it? If it’s something, I don’t think it’s that. Fan site, journalists etc. There is a lot of noise that some thing will happen all from them. Edit: Two weeks ago there was noise that it would happen then a delay. Again it sounds like they are there but still waiting. They talk to the premier league daily I guess. They’re probably getting informally it is almost there response for a while and this could just be a non confrontational way to put a bit more pressure to actually sign off. Before escalating and coming out with more frustrated noises. When the other side holds all the power you have to play nice. Apologies for quoting myself. Just been thinking more. I'm still questioning why the buyers have leaked that they expect the checks to be complete this week. I can only think of two reasons: 1. They want to add pressure. 2. They know it is going to be approved and want to give some love to the press/fanzines. Keep them on side by feeling warm and fuzzy. If it is 1. Then it either works or it does not. If not I'd expect some more grumbling sounds around wed/thursday. We are at the end of week 5 in a 4 week process etc. If it is 2 we it will be leaked that they are passed by wed/thursday.

  16. My worry is that all the noise is just the buyers trying to put a bit of pressure on the premier league.
  17. My bet is that the buyers have reached out to them just like they have a few journalists. They still say they are waiting for formal approval so I’d assume the buyers have been told informally that it has been approved and they get formal approval this week. This sounds similar to where we were two weeks ago before the delays. Fingers crossed there are no more road bumps.
  18. There's only so far a rivalry can cloud my judgement. He's quality. Me too. What he did at Plymouth was really cool https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Reid#Plymouth_Argyle then they sacked him😂

Ironically they were being a little smug about this fact regarding the remaining games not being played would mean they lose less income from ticket sales.

I don’t have subs...is there any chance of them flunking a playoff or are they done? They’re done. They’ve played more at home. https://www.soccerstats.com/homeaway.asp?league=england3

I see this as the result of both teams failing to win anything for decades. The only victory either set of supporter gets is enjoying the failure and suffering of the other. NETD.

https://theathletic.com/1800891/2020/05/08/leagueone-league-two-efl-ppg-coventry/ This is saying the only decision now is how to determine the points post game. They’re looking into taking into account home vs away games played.
  24. vague updates from vague sources that are written in a way to provoke further questions are the best.
