    James Perch

Loved it when he was second favourite to a ball with Osman but came like a mental madman and won the header, sending Osman flying as well. Perfectly timed, and all the Everton fans were screaming for a four. Hard as nails. Love him.

It's not shocking because we already knew most the cryptic bullshit he's posted. We know that the club has a strict transfer policy that means we will only do deals on our terms. It hasn't changed since Keegan left because that was the bloody plan, with Carr as a much more capable version of Dennis Wise and Pards as Keegan, albeit with more clarity over his exact role in the whole transfer business. I've no doubt Pardew wanted more players and some of the squad are a bit miffed we haven't spunked cash up the wall. I've no doubt Wraith has heard a few whispers about this from his 'sources' and decided that it was his duty to tweet about the HUGE unrest enveloping the NUFC camp (and that these tweets have absolutely nothing to do with attracting an audience for his fanzine, match day bar venture, boxing promotions or books about the Kray twins). I've also no doubt this will blow over in a few weeks time if we pick up a few wins. As for Cabaye, if he hadn't had a shaky start brought on by the fact he's sitting deep in a midfield four because Tiote is injured, he's been crocked himself this preseason and just came off what was an 11 month season we'd not be pissing worrying. The idea that he's in a girly huff because we didn't sign Debuchy (which is something I've seen floated a million times this summer) is absolutely mental, considering not 12 months ago he gladly fucked off over the channel away from him and spent an entire season playing like he was having the time of his life. Great post

    Players in public

First Danny Simpson in his Bentley, the Steven Taylor in his Overfinch Range Rover, then best of all Hatem along side me in his Merc at the traffic lights on Barrack road after the match on Sunday. He pulled right next to me in his left hooker, and I was in the inside lane, so I could have leaned across to shake his hand. I said 'Great goal Hatem, and he said 'thank you'. Love him
  6. Just to weigh in on this point, I would say in general there are more pessimists on the forum than optimists. Think those optimists who go against the grain when things aren't at their best bring the forum mood up a fair bit. Things are rarely as bad as they get made out on here Another true story
  7. Who said that? Howay Dave, you read those nonsense posts as well. Nobody has said he's shite. People have said he's off form (clearly he is) and and are asking if he's really as good as they thought. What the fuck's wrong with that? Meh. There's no point debating anything with you for the most part, I can't be bothered with this argument as well. Nice one. TBH, I am with Ian on this one. The 'what the fuck's wrong with that' comment shows how even you is getting tetchy. Fucking transfer windows should be banned, for the sake of this forums sanity. If he's playing crap then people are well within their rights to say he's playing crap, and discuss what they think are the reasons for that. It doesn't mean those people are saying he's a bad player. Otter for one has been saying for long before these the start of this season that he's unconvinced he's quite as good as made out. What I get tetchy about is people piling into threads and inventing positions nobody has taken. Forgive me for 'piling into' the thread. I spend a relatively small amount of time commenting on threads, compared to the time I take reading others' posts. I have a 'glass half full' nature and sometimes I find comments laughable, and feel the need to comment on them. That ok with you?

  9. Who said that? Nobody specifically, just the negative vibes coming through. Surely you can see it too, or is it just me?
  10. Jeez, this forum! The transfer window certainly made for some massive over-reactions. Now Cabs is turboshite?? What's gan on? Keep calm and carry on. FFS
  11. I certainly don't have a soft spot for him. He is massively overrated, mainly by himself. Odious cunt.
  12. The irony is that the cynical people (I was one of them not so long ago) are proven right again and again at the end of the transfer window. On the pitch, where it really matters, we've outdone ourselves the last few seasons however. Here's hoping it continues! We've arguably exceeded expectations in our last 2 seasons (3 if you think some people didn't think we'd come straight back up from the Championship), so how have they been proven right? Proven right insofar that people who are pessimistic during the transfer window and get told by the "at least wait until the end of the window" brigade to hold their horses are proven right to be cynical of our transfer business when the window eventually shuts. I don't remember the last time I felt great at the end of a transfer window. Of course, as I said, where it matters, i.e. on the pitch, we've done really well in the last few seasons. Not sure why you're arguing, have a feeling you knew exactly what I meant. I don't think it should be about who has been proven right or who has been proven wrong. It's about supporting the team and I, for one, will be doing that regardless of who who have/ haven't signed. Haway the lads
