I can't guarantee it'll be successful, but we'll be giving it a bloody good shot. So will you be hearing anything about this meeting when its finished then?

just seen arshavin have a very impressive game for zenit st petersburg v leverkusen. I know there was some talk earlier in the season about us and some other clubs being interested in him, looks like a good player; pacey, tricky, creative and scores goals. could see him being used in the 'owen role' in our new 4-3-3 (if owen buggers off). apparently he can be a bit of a lazy bastard though so dunno how he would fare in the prem?

i was in revolution last night stood near the door and jose enrique walked in with a few mates. i shook his hand and said something to him (cant remember what) but funnily enough i dont think he understood my drunken ramblings. he was nice though, just smiled and shook my hand (ghetto american style if you know what i mean!) he had a bloody awful shiny hoody on though, in fact i think thats what i might have said to him...

I think its time we start actually getting behind our best striker who could possibly give us the goals we need to actually win a trophy. Btw, how the hell do people on here know what happened over the summer? How do you know that he tried to engineer a move with his agent? You don't, you're making up your own stories like some of the shit journalists have been doing in recent weeks. At the end of the day its not his fault he kept getting injured, we knew he was injury prone when we signed him and he's just been incredibly unlucky with injuries. If the crowd started trying to get behind him he might not only start banging the goals in but also might even consider staying beyond this season

not a bad game overall i thought. beardsleys goal was class, jinking past two or three players before slotting it under the keeper - classic beardsley! another quality moment was gazza coming over right in front of where i was sat to take a throw-in and doing fancy keep ups and tricks with the ball. good to see him looking well after his recent problems.

I'm sure i read somewhere that cacapa has played at right back before? If so: cacapa, taylor/dragutinovic, rozehnal, baines/dragutinovic is how we could be shaping up next season. Seems a fairly decent lineup to me if this baines rumour is true. If all the current supposed deals we're lining up come off i don't think there will be too much more strengthening needed, at least unitil january anyway once we've seen how the team is performing together

I thought Appiah had an excellent game against us at St James' in the Uefa Cup last season - he bossed the midfield, looked strong and very calm and assured on the ball, think he would be an excellent signing. Deco - maybe but probably not for 15mill Cassano - seems like a bit of an arse to me and dont think we particularly need another striker if we can keep hold of the ones we have at the minute

SSN are reporting that man city have made an offer of about 6.7mill for Giorgio Chiellini, which could apparently 'tempt Ranieri to sell.' They also say that Chiellini has recently said he is considering his future at Juve. If so, I reckon Big Sam should slap an offer in himself - 22 years old, big powerful defender (6ft 1 I think) and he's got 6 caps for the Italy team already. I know its sometimes a bit dubious getting defenders from Italy to adapt to the Prem but he certainly looks like the sort of player that could adapt, saw a video of him on youtube (crap evidence I know) but he seems very aggressive and not afraid to put his foot (or head) in. At 22 as well its not like he hasnt got time to get used to the pace and style of the Prem?
