All of A stood and possibly some of B (the B nearer the goal). @Paully would know as B is his territory 22/23 was before the safe standing, so you also had the corner sections all unofficially stood up too
-
Front block of the Gallowgate at the East Stand side was unofficial standing in 22/23, was a class atmosphere and good mix of ages, plenty of U25’s Couple of games into the 23/24 season all the ST holders in there got a letter from the club telling them to sit down or lose their ST’s Watching football sat down is shit for atmosphere. Easiest way to suck the life out of a crowd is to have them sat down. People are far more likely to get involved if they’re standing up. Same happens at music gigs.

If you're a Newcastle fan who lives in Droylsden it wouldn't be great

Met one his sons a few years back, he’s called Shields

Bet you think Bambi’s mam would have been a very tasty venison burger

Peter Dury: If you were to ask me to name three brilliant football commentators, I probably wouldn't say Motson, Davies.….I'd go Chaucer, Shakespeare, Dickens, Milton

Never, ever, ever watch football with the sound on Stick the telly on mute and whack some decent tunes on

I’m not a gambling man, but I would have wagered my entire collection of vintage 1980’s jazz mags on the Mancs scoring early and Rashford being the scorer and have been supremely confident those jazz mags would still be in my possession at bedtime tonight

Same here Sports Direct paid £385,000 in 2018 and £1.1m in 2019 then £0 for 20-22 to plaster every available surface at SJP with their logo Was any other club in the top flight getting zero income for a massive amount of advertising space ? No, thought not Were the PL putting regulations in place to stop owners doing undervalued deals with APT’s that weren’t FMV ? No, thought not According to PL & cartel, getting paid at best next to nothing and at times absolutely nothing for a high value asset actually makes you more competitive. Whodathunkit ?
-
It’s getting fucking ridiculous now like The cartel are absolutely petrified of a well invested NUFC potentially pushing their snouts out of the trough and aren’t even trying to hide their intentions to retain the status quo With all this blatant financial handicapping being revealed so openly, it’s not a big jump to assume that on-field handicapping has been rife for years with refs and VAR instructed to look after the cartel’s interests

Or you just buy a dodgy stick and watch every game in the comfort of your own home

Yours sincerely, Millwall fan in peace ps FTM pps Jimmy Hill is a cunt

If they’re 12 points clear at Xmas we’ll beat them 4-3 at Anfield with a last minute winner to destroy their title hopes and the 28 year redemption arc will be complete

I think a decent reference point for the acoustics in the ground and how badly sound travels is whether you can hear the away fans when it’s a noisy away end And in the Gallowgate they’re barely audible And also the amount of post-match threads in here that talk about how the ground was silent, when Strawberry Corner never stopped singing for the entire game The lopsided design is shite for acoustics
-
I had a season ticket in the East Stand for one season and the bloke with verbal diarrhoea behind me was one of the best football managers and tacticians the world has ever seen. Far, far better than the likes of Pep Guardiola or Carlo Ancelloti I moved my ST away from him so never got to find out what happened next in his managerial career, but I’m sure he must have gone on to big things in the world of football He really was a genius, there can be no doubt about it

the one who does a lot of work for charidee but doesn’t like to talk about it

A northern lad from a working class family writing guitar music about a middle aged lady who he loved dearly passing away from cancer in an underfunded NHS palliative care home has just had that song go into the pop charts at No 4, sold out arenas all over UK & Europe, sold out US gigs, is headlining massive festivals and will sell out the Olympic Stadium in London And when not working he spends most of his spare time mooching around Shields with his pals from school, same as he did pre-fame. But aye, he’s a fake Geordie making shit music who doesn’t support Newcastle and is only popular because Saudi’s bought NUFC. They’re off their fucking lips on RTG

Come in here seeing there’s been a flurry of posting activity and expecting to see the architects blueprints for the new Sven Adult Books Magpie Megadome but end up reading a load of shite about Arsenal’s league campaigns in the early to mid naughties Some of youse need to get out more. A lot more.
