  1. I think the context here is she went off on one on another podcast, from what I could stomach of it, she came across far more entitled in it and was basically just laying into Ian Wright for not doing everything he could to persuade ITV to use her on TV more often. Then also, and many times before, suggested her race and gender were the reason she wasn't being selected for more TV opportunities. The lads on the other podcast just nodded along and didnt push back at all. In fairness to Jordan, he just said to her face what alot of people have been saying about her that she needs to consider that maybe she just isn't engaging and likes enough as a pundit compared to others and perhaps it has nothing to do with her race or gender. I can see why it might come across as bullying but it felt like he was the first person to actually give his opinion that perhaps she's just not as great as she thinks she is. He did cover it by saying thats his opinion and that she may well think the same about him. This was the original video. I watched a bit but had to turn it off as was unbearable. Can't imagine anyone who watches this crap. The hosts seem to contribute zilch aswell. EDIT* lol they paywalled it now so you can't watch it anymore

    Nick Woltemade

There's too much potential in Nick to give up on him so easily. We're starting to see him come on in the more withdrawn role and that shows that we are trying to learn how to best use him. Seen encouraging signs every time he's played in there and once Eddie has more time with him on the training ground + a full preseason we will start to see the benefits. Also think if he fills out abit and gets abit stronger he will settle into the league far better. He's never going to be quick so may aswell pile on some more muscle and become a better focal point than he is at the moment. He's too easily pushed and bullied currently.

Likely starts with nick at villa I imagine. I'd say priorities will be CL, league and then fa cup so I expect those rested tonight will start at weekend.
  4. I never subscribed to the theory he was purposefully playing bad either. If he was then he definitely isn't scoring that all important penalty away to Brighton. It felt like the groin injury was clearly affecting his mobility and in turn he started snatching at chances and was unable to move into position correctly. But since we had no other options we were still sticking him out there every game despite looking injured/out of form. The theory would carry more weight if he had rocked up at Liverpool and been like mid season Isak was for us, but he didn't, if anything he was far worse. I do think him missing the Arsenal game 2nd to last game however was dodgy and plays into the narrative that he told the club he wanted to leave before the end of the season.
  5. People need to calm down. Running away with narratives in their own heads etc. Truth is he's probably just in a poor run of form this year and he's probably trying just as hard as before but things just aren't coming off. It's sometimes hard to come into a game as a sub and catch up to the speed. I just can't buy into any player purposefully playing bad to help facilitate a move away especially when we're months away from a transfer window. Sometimes players just go through bad runs. Do people think Isak was purposefully playing bad at his new club? Looked a shadow of the player we have but doesn't mean suddenly he's shit. Players hit bad form, it can happen, get over it.
  6. Beat overall performance. Some really nice crossing for a change. Was a nuisance and caused them some issues. Still could do bit more and was maybe a little soft in a few tackles. But definitely continuing his improvement game to game.
  7. That man u lad with the hair must be hating life right now
  8. Crikey. Wilson rolling back the years there. Running away from players and sprinting half the pitch
  9. Huge that. Even just for lifting the mood for Eddie, the players and the fans. Don't know how much of it was us being good, Spurs being shite or a combination of both. But we were comfortably the better team. Just wish we didn't look so vulnerable defensively. Shame about Bruno injury. Might end up costing us more points than we gained tonight if it's long term but we'll have to see. But good on Eddie, he demanded an improved performance and he got it.
  10. Here we go so easier to get at us as soon as they break one line. We need a couple of goals to get a win here.
  11. Come one, please don't do the usual drop off after halftime/taking the lead. Need to go for the throat here. Still fear our defense won't withstand any sort of pressure so we need to keep attacking well.

    Dogawful Officiating

Is it just me or did it look like they did it a frame too late after the pass was made and even then it was like a slither of forehead. Fucking bullshit I thought. Nice goal chalked off just because.
  13. Just sit deep and wait for the counters. They are like us they don't have much quality to break down a low block. We proved at City these defenders can't physically carry out the high press.
  14. Why the fuck would we play that suicidal high line with this back 4
  15. Christ even against spurs we somehow get a opposition fan on commentary
  16. Assume it would be better in the seasons they missed CL, however I'd argue we would have coped ok in the conference league and Europa aswell as the standard is so much lower now. Also I'd argue they were starting from a much healthier position squad and finances wise when Emery took over. So I see them as slightly ahead of us in progression.
  17. Xavi Simons has been much improved last few times I've seen him. Need to keep an eye on him.
  18. Only silver lining is the senior players have the right mentality and will want to right the wrongs. However I don't think that carries you very far these days when athleticism is such an important element. That back 4 except for minus Thaiw, with Bruno in the deep lying position has to be the slowest in the league. Really hope we keep things tight and go low block. We have nice pace up front but then we're up against the quickest CB in the world so not sure Gordon's strengths really suit here. Let's see how it plays out. I have faith in the likes of Bruno to be determined to turn things around but the line up doesn't inspire confidence.
  19. No idea what the answer is but that lineup isn't it. Happy to be proved wrong but Trippier and Burn starting premier league games as our full backs when even two years ago when we last had a tough period it was clear they couldn't do it anymore. We are gonna have to really sit deep and soak up pressure and then hope fresh legs off the bench can help because of we leave any space in behind, anyone with a semblance of pace in their team is gonna be in behind everytime. I get that Hall is probably knackered but he's also our best player currently and it's not like we don't need the points.

Should be sub only until he can get his fitness and sharpness back. Not contributing anything positive when he starts lately. Osula weirdly is probably ahead of him at the moment in terms of effectiveness.
  21. Mentioned in the match thread. But in the interest of trying other options, and since his form has been criticised anyways, I'd want to see how he is at right back given the current options. He has the pace and power to be really effective there and can't see many wingers if any getting he better of him down the outside. It takes away from having him in the centre, but now Bruno is back fit we can probably get by with he, Ramsey and maybe Willock if we go with 3 and/or with Woltemade in the 10. We simply can't keep playing Trippier there and until Tino and to a lesser extent Miley are back available I think we are struggling for alternatives No idea what the academy lads are like as Howe seems reluctant to try anyone.
