  1. Even if Sunderland lost every game leading up to the next derby, I'd still be nervous as fuck that they might beat us yet again. We HAVE to beat them this time surely?

    Sunderland

They only win the odd game against someone you don't expect them too. Man City, Everton, Chelsea etc. They seem to have lost most of the "6 pointers" so far against the likes of Palace and Fulham for example
  3. Serious? Man, imagine if we had won 6:0 on a day of otherwise dull, low-scoring games and still weren't on game of the day. Hull fans must be pissed!
  4. I know some of the squad players are nowhere near the first team at the moment. But I worry when we eventually get injuries if we would regret letting too many go. Plus if we continue the way we're going and qualify for the Europa League next year we're just going to need to buy more squad players anyway.
  5. We had a couple of warnings before they scored. Our lads backed off way too much from Adam and then about 2 minutes later backed off again when Assaidi scored.
  6. Yeah we didn't even go down that season as Keegan came in and turned us around from from relegation candidates back into a good team. The reason we went down was because of all the chaos with Keegan, Ashley and Wise the following season. Then obviously Kinnear taking over. Yet Merson will say weekly that the reason we went down is because we sacked Allardyce. Such rubbish.
  7. When will Merson fuck off with this "Newcastle would have stayed up if they hadn't sacked Allardyce" Such bullshit.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Anyone critical of him should think of all the moments he's involved in and how fantastic and exciting they are. Sure he loses the ball from time to time but no other player in our team can do the things he can. Truely outstanding dribbler of a football.
  9. Wait has Allardyce been sacked? Didnt see it anywhere else
  10. Even if we signed a couple I still think Champions League will be out of our reach. I mean it's not like we would spend any serious money on a player that would take us up another level, for example like Arsenal did with Ozil.
  11. think everyone used him in silver teams on Fifa Ultimate team the last like 3 years or so because of his pace and strength
  12. A Remy partner and/or potentially a Remy replacement for next season as it's very possible he won't join permanently.
  13. You'll be pleased to know that on the telly, the sky commentators kept commentating how great the Crystal Palace fans were despite the weather with all their singing. Stupidly they didn't realise it was actually our fans.
  14. I hope the people who keep changing the thread titles haven't jinxed this, as he was doing great since being crowned "Iron Mike"
  15. I know, same with us with Remy but he still the focal point of the attack and occupies the defenders giving others space even if he isn't the one scoring at the moment. Wasn't having a go at Everton Neil , annoyed that Chelsea are allowed to collect so many players and just loan them out. They obviously thought it would work in their favour as you guys would take points off their rivals in the league. Sort of back fired though because you are doing far better than they expected and they are doing far worse.
  16. Annoys me even more now that Chelsea just gave Lukaku to Everton Hardly like they were a nothing, bottom of the table side. There were already good and they just gave them a £20-30m beast striker for free. Jokes on them I suppose as Everton are now above them

The new page thing is annoying when you've typed out a long comment to something that you want people to reply to and then someone comes along and posts a or something to another post and boom, new page You know no one is going to be arsed to go back to the previous page so your long well thought-out post is lost forever

"I think Manchester United boss Moyes is chasing the wrong Everton full-back. Coleman would be a welcome sight in an Arsenal kit! Top player."
  19. We would be stupid to sell him before the world cup. If he carries on playing the way he is now for the rest of this season and then goes on to perform well for France on the grandest stage then we could get far more for him. Plus if he had a bad world cup then we could just keep him. Arsenal were only willing to offer like £10-12m for him in the summer which would be absolutely crazy considering his value to us. Not to mention the absolute crap that seems to get valued at like £20-30m these days.
  20. West Ham will probably offer him a fortune and he'll stupidly go there instead.

Yeah it doesn't bother me either the United thing. Only time it slightly irritates is when Sky or BBC etc are showing results and stuff and they don't bother putting anyone else's full name. Missing off the city, united, albion etc.
  22. Think Man United, Spurs and Chelsea will all spend significant amounts of money this January. Perhaps Liverpool as well if the rumours of them wanting Cabaye and possibly Ben Arfa are true.
  23. Yeah. Last year Man United won the league sort of by default it felt like. No one else seemed capable of mounting a serious challenge.
  24. Didn't recognise him with that shaved head. Think Everton are going to be out of our reach to compete with this season.
  25. Strikers are always great crossers of the ball.
