you needed that to give you a clue? thats what we did all last season. just because we finish 5th people seem to have develop this new romantic experience of us playing great football last season. we didnt! it was the same, play safe play deep and launch it long. only difference is it worked last season, this season it hasnt. what are you on about? Yes we had some poor performances last year papered over by wonder goals etc. But by the end of the year we had a fluid team challenging for fourth and playing good football (yes i said it) Thinking back to home games against stoke, liverpool etc. What I'm saying is, however we got there we found a line up and system that worked and was effective but instead of kicking on and improving the weak parts of the team(williamson,simpson) we brought in some youngsters and Anita plus constantly talking about bringing back Carroll. So that means Pardew wants to regress back to the hoof ball we saw for much of the season with the R.Taylor,Best/Ameobi line up which is quite frankly going backwards.

Thinking back to the Summer when all Pardew seemed to discuss was how he wanted Carroll back. That's a massive clue to me that's all he wants. To get a big lumbering striker in to build all our attacks from. Why else would we use Shola so fucking often in 2012.

There was a moment near the end where he had it on the edge of the penalty box and there was just nothing on. Absolutely nothing. Really hope he outstays Pardew in his time here much like the Souness Bellamy era where i was hoping Souness went before Bellamy but we all know how that worked out.

Never truely believed pardew is as good as was made out last season due to things like a huge amount of us calling for Ben Arfa to be used and used on the right wing last season. It took a long time but when he finally put him in the team permanently we were excellent. Same thing with Santon. Now I could completely give him the benefit of the doubt on those things in that ben arfa was returning from his broken leg and santon was in a new league. But the doubts were there when we could all see Ben arfa and Santon's talent and yet pardew preferred Obertan and Ryan Taylor for the majority of the season. He earnt alot of recognition for getting us to Fifth, bringing in Cisse in january(not sure how much pardew had to do with it but he may have) and the switch to 4-3-3 to accommodate our best players. This yeah I haven't a clue what he is doing. Since day 1 where we looked unfit and unprepared to now.

If Carver is the attacking coach I'm afraid he has to go. Even last season our attacking was more to do with exceptional individual goals rather than good training ground moves etc. Look at man united, arsenal, city etc. Most of their goals come in similar ways because it's what they work on consistently. We have no style of play whatsoever.

It was just all so utterly predictable once again. Even during that little spell of pressure early 2nd half I was constantly thinking to myself "if they score were fucked" and low and behold they score and then we basically stop playing football completely. I still can't get my head around Williamson playing the full 90mins. Ok fair enough starting him, but then it become clear swansea were just hitting us on the break with pace. Not a single long ball from them for him to clear so we would have been far better off putting in a player with legs who could play the ball out and also keep up with their players on the counter attack. Absolutely. I could handle losing if we were really giving it a go and just being beaten by better sides. At the moment it's looking like any team no matter the quality just need to turn up, have an organised defence and wait for their chance to score. West ham and swansea have played far better than they did against us and lost this season.

Actually better in our away games this season. We knew they would have 3 in midfield and we knew cisse wasn't available so why the fuck did he stick to 4-4-2 with two defensive midfielders and sammy ameobi upfront. Fucking Joke.
