Napoli fan successfully sues Inter for "existential damage"

Can I sue Souness for taking two years of my life and hard earned money? -
Bet you'd love that to be true. ..and why's that then? More scope for whining and complaining. I'm afraid I'm not a member of the whinging and complaining brigade.

Actually, I do have a rather strange burning sensation between my toes... Too far, probably, but what can I say? It's been a long day.

Can we not lock all the pre-season doom monging shit and merge them into one thread?

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,18168,11678_4993904,00.html Coloccini expects Depor stay Deportivo La Coruña confirm amazing U-turn Last updated: 4th August 2008 Newcastle United have been stunned as their latest transfer target slipped through their grasp. Fabricio Coloccini was expected on Tyneside for a medical on Monday evening, however it would appear he never made the flight back with the Magpies squad. It is thought the lure of a new lucrative contract at the Spanish outfit has persuaded him to stay in La Liga for the time being. Depor president Augusto César Lendoiro confirmed the news. He said "Fabricio will stay with us now." "The offer from Newcastle was a good one, Deportivo can now match this offer" Coloccini will become the latest transfer target Kevin Keegan has missed out on this summer offer after Luka Modrić and Pablo Aimar.

It does if you haven't had one, which is kind of the point. Can't be helped but it's not going to do us any favours. Oh yeah, I agree with the original points raised in the thread, it just seems to have been taken over by mongs and doom mongers.

IT'S PRE-SEASON, THE MAIN AIM OF WHICH IS TO BUILD FITNESS, IT HAS NO ACTUAL BEARING ON THE SEASON Jeez, oh and by the way... THE TRANSFER WINDOW IS NOT CLOSED YET.

with: A footballer currently playing the game An ex-footballer A football manager (Past or present) An Owner/executive at a football club A pundit or presenter Of course they all must be alive and the group must gel. Therefore the venue and choice of drinks is particularly important. Selections can be serious or as damn sarcastic as your heart desires. Mine would go something like: Alan Smith: I would question as to how he got in the game, his ability has given me faith I can one day play football. Pele: Could relate to Smithy having both been world class strikers. Also plenty of piss taking and erection jokes would go down well. Big Ron: The awkward guy you didn't really want to invite but you know some racial tension always adds to a good night out. Fat Fred: Could share his thoughts and feeling on the current state of the club and woo Pele with his masterful new business plans. Could share techniques on putting your foot in your mouth with Big Ron. Jeff Stelling: Absolute legend, would fill the awkward silences with random footballing knowledge.

They might just invent something entirely new. "Taylor threatens to walk out as Bassong scrans the last pie" "Crisis as random ex-Newcastle player predicts trouble" "Newcastle in shock as Ashley flips fans the bird" "They know how to pick them: Danny Guthrie falls on asylum seeker as racial tension grows in the toon camp. "Alan Smith exclusive: I can play football, please don't axe me" "Shola: I can't do the business. Toon rocked by striker revelation" Or something more obvious... "f*** you all you scummy Northern b******" It really is pathetic, just let them get on with it.

Still think Mohammed Zidan would make it in the Premier League...

Unreliable source, but: Newcastle to put in final offer for Basel's Derdiyok Saturday 02 August 2008 - 11:34:31 - Click to post or view The Switzerland International Eren Derdiyok has been on Kevin Keegan's wishlist since the European Championships, and the 20 year-old has admitted that he would like a move to advance his carrer, as long as Basel agree to let him go. Keegan was put off by the £6million fee demanded by his Swiss owners, and dropped out of the running as it was thought that Fenerbahce had come in with a better offer. That deal has now fallen through, and Keegan is considering moving back in with a £5million offer to try and prise their prize asset away from Switzerland. Although only 20 years old, Derdiyok has a great record of 14 goals in just 12 games for the Swiss U19 & U21 sides. He received his first full cap against England at Wembley this February and went on to become the youngest player at the Euro2008 tournament. If Keegan could get a player of this calibre at such a young age for £5million he would jump at the chance.

A serious question: Did Keegan actually say there was going to be a new signing in the next 24 hours?
